General
The Billion People of Old Ogastein is a massive, devout nation, notable for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 1.001 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Public Transport receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 91%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Woodchip Exports.
The government regularly hires contractors to construct high rise apartments, retirement homes are often fitted with luxurious suites, research into 'designer babies' is banned, and college students make ends meet by selling their kidneys. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Old Ogastein's national animal is the great horned owl, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the opal.
Old Ogastein is also a UN member receiveing 24 endorsements.
On Oct. 18 2006 Old Ogastein adopted a 2nd offical language, German.
On Dec. 22nd 2006 Old Ogastein's 2nd offical language, German was swapped with French. While the English became more precise and became Canadian English.
History
Old Ogastein is involved with Canada. Old Ogastein is the ambassador to Europa (the 7th largest player created region)and Great Britain and Ireland. Old Ogastein is also the current Minister of Doughnuts and Beer. Old Ogastein is very involved in the offsite forum posting 2,125 in total and 12.5 daily. Old Ogastein joined the forum on July 2nd 2006 and was virtually unknown until August 12th 2006. On August 12th 2006 Old Ogastein posted 92 posts on that day, one of the highest records in Canada. From August 12th 2006 to August 17th 2006 Old Ogastein has posted 200 posts.
September Elections
Old Ogastein Ran for Minister of Doughnuts and Beer in Canada in the fall elections. The Results are as followed:

December Elections
Once again Old Ogastein is running for Minister of Doughnuts and beer. Old Ogastein was unopposed in the election. Thus he had to have passed a VOC (Vote of Confidence) The Results are as followed:
