==Rio Houston==

In the early years of settlement, the river was named '''Rio Houston''' after the nation's capital city, Houston, and it's namesake, [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Houston Sam Houston]. However, as trade increased with [[Audland]], this caused confusion due to the similar spelling between the major rivers, Rouston and Houston. In order to alleviate this confusion, the 2nd Houstonian Congress voted to change the name of the river to its current name.
