Summary
The Free Land of Demontropius is a small nation, with a strange environment, the most notable animal of Demontropius is the wolf. Its intelligent population of 6 million are prohibited from doing almost everything except voting, which they do timidly and conservatively.
The enormous, moralistic, socially-minded government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Defence and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 42%, but much higher for the wealthy. An almost nonexistent private sector is dominated by the Cheese Exports industry.
Crime is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Demontropius's national animal is the wolf, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the yami.
History
The island that would later be called Demontropius, was discovered in 660 BC but it is not known who discovered and governed it at that time. Some people say that the ruler of Demontropius never changed since 660 BC, but nobody knows if this is true.
Although the island was discovered around 660 BC, it was unknown to the other regions in Ania, until it accidentally got discovered during The War of Ages.
