Overview
Honsfield: The City
Honsfield is a coastal city situated in central Nedalia, on the delta banks of Nedalia's largest river, the Drongo River. Surrounded by grass plains, this city of 400,000 people is most well known for its agricultural industry and its fishing. The weather is mediterrenean/sub-tropical, with the average temperature being 24 - 26 degrees Celsius in the summer months and 15 - 18 in the winter months. A working class city, its commerce is second to its industrial sector in terms of jobs provided. Nevertheless, it has many distinguised featured, including the 400 year old Honsfield Castle. There is an unusual number of sharks in the waters around the city.
Allen Lane Stadium
Seating a grand total of 36,219 fans, the Allen Lane ground's Home end backs directly on the Drongo, meaning that if a player manages to miss the goal at the home end by aiming around a hundred feet too high, it is likely that any passing boats will be struck by football.
Owners and Sponsors
Orcinus Corporation seized upon the interest generated by the Nedalia Under-21s performance in the 14th Under-21 World Cup and made an offer to sponsor Honsfield Athletic in the newly-created Nedalia Premier League. The oppurtunity arose, however, to buy the entire club for $200M (some 119 Million Credits at the time). Orcinus' major shareholder, Armando Gomez, was persuaded by his accountant that this was a good idea and so purchased the club.
Honsfield are therefore sponsored by Orcinus, with the splashing silver Killer-Whale frolicking on the front of their shirts and on advertising boards around the stadium. There is not an Orca Bar in the stadium due to safety and ethical issues, although Orcinus Vodka is available in commemorative HAFC-branded bottles from the blub shop.
Kit and Nickname
Honsfield play in vertically-halved yellow and red shirts, with red shorts and blue socks. Squad numbers and names are in black.
Their Away kit is in the same style, only with blue and white instead of red and yellow. Squad numbers and names are in red.
Hornsfield Athletic's nickname is the 'Sharks'.
