The Allied States of Yalaruz

A land, that although surrounded by hate, fear, oppression, and conflict, sought the lighter side of life. Through meditation, self control and rationality, the people of Yalaruz came together, overcame their small indifferences, and united as a singular nation. Their spokesman, Ryoushin, is a man with a small frame and soft flowing voice. He is looked up to by his people as a leader for his incredible diplomacy skills, however, he views himself as just one man trying to help his brothers through a rough age.

The Yalaruz journeyed from the south and upon reaching the northern expanse, decided it would be too dangerous to cross the mountain range, and settled. Their homeland, a region with sweltering summers and violently stormy springs, was not unlike the northern expanse. It was filled with violence and despair. The Yalaruz attempted to change their neighbors through understanding and compassion. The neighboring nations, however, saw this as a sign of weakness, and invaded en masse. Multiple armies clashed head to head on the Yalaruz' once tranquil farms and temples. Ryoushin gathered his people, realizing there could be no stopping the war that raged on, and left his battle trampled villages for the north. Ryoushin, was aware that the old nations of the northern expanse were short tempered and quick to war with one another, but at least war had not already set upon them. His people began rebuilding their temples of meditation and their quaint farms, and before long, had established themselves once more.

The Yalaruz' welcome was less than spectacular, but Ryoushin, defining the perseverance of his people and his ancestor's tradition, vowed to change his fellow nations' minds about conflict and warfare. One civilian at a time, if need be.

The Disputed Territories of Yalaruz

Time passed, and Ryoushin's efforts seemed to be in vain. He ventured far across the snowy region in search of someone who would listen to his advice and join him in his daunting quest for peace. He searched the icy cliffs of the mountains and the endless tundra of the lowlands. He searched, but he found only cold stares, and harsh words from other nations. He had been gone from his villages for months upon months, and even his traveling party became weak and lethargic. His people in Yalaruz, became anxious of his return as no domestic issues were being tended to. Ryoushin's travelling party decided to return home, to bring some form of organization back to their country, but Ryoushin carried on, hoping that if he could make it far enough easy, to the isle of Sibastia, and reason with the region's UN delegate.

When the travelling party returned home, they found their village under the loose control of a group of youngsters who had banded together months before. These young kids formed themselves to begin organizing agricultural business, but the power went to their heads. They became pushy and borderline violent when deciding upon local issues. By the time Ryoushin's party returned, Yalaruz had already began to wither under the pressure of the young gang. Feeling threatened by Ryoushin's men, the gang cast them out of the city's borders. Ryoushin's men refused, trying to plead with the gangsters. The kids, seeing the incident as a perfect time to flex their muscles and show the civilians of Yalaruz they meant business, executed Ryoushin's men in the middle of the village.

After this atrocity, law went by the wayside, as the gang's numbers grew. One woman, Kariudo, rose faster than any other gang member, and in a horrific firefight, earned herself the title Kami Kariudo. The Lord of the Gangsters. Her cold demeanor and unforgiving eyes brought organized rule over the local gangs. Within a few quick years, the "gangs" that once terrorized the streets, became a formidable Yakuza that owned and controlled the streets. Law enforcement agencies realized they would soon be overrun if they didn't stop Kariudo soon, and a joint effort, raided the Yakuza's fortress in Yalaruz' massive slums. The following 3 days were the most violent 3 days in Yalaruz' history, as the blood of yakuza and police officers spilled out of the grottos and into the streets of their nation. When the smoke cleared, and the shooting ceased, Kami Kariudo and her Yakuza stood over the bodies of nearly 90% of the nations police force. Without hesitation, she launched an attack on the remaining police officers, eradicated them, and ceased formal control over the nations government.

Other states within Yalaruz, began to fear the same fate, and left the nation, seeking another region safer for their people. Biker gangs, and cults rose up in place of the governments and began dictating their own law. States clashed with neighboring states over territory and the entire nation of Yalaruz soon fell into chaos, anarchy, and peril. Death, suffering, and struggle became commonplace, as brother slew brother, and some of the Yalaruz claim, Hell became to anxious, and rose up to claim it's long awaited children.
