Founding
The Most Serene Republic of Murkadia was actually founded as a colony of Russia in the Territories of the Borderlands region. Over time ties with the mother country became quite strained as Murkadia developed a sense of independence and finally the colony broke off all connections with Russia. Murkadians have rejected Russian political and economic systems completely. In its stead they have devoted themselves to democracy and capitalism to match many of the other nations in their viscinity.
