Born Alexander Charles Jameson in the Wynham district of Central Cliffton , Maanenland, Alex started his political career campaigning for the Communist Party of Mannenland and stood for election at the age of 18 for his home constituency of Wynham West at which he recorded a dismal turnout. After the election he switched his allegiance to the rapidly expanding "Mannenland First" party and rose quickly through the ranks after delivering memorable and moving speeches to the party faithful at the annual party confrences.

Despite achieving some fame and admiration from the public he failed to secure an election seat at the following general election. Somewhat dismayed he signed up for the Royal Maanden Navy as a sonar operator and the then new submarine fleet . After an realitvly uneventful 12 year term there he stood once again for election for his party but this time in the safe seat of Ternpool Western.

After securing a seat in the House of Boroughs he was appointed as a junior minister in Ministry of Commerce where he quickly rose through the ranks and three years later , to the surprise of most political analysts , he was appointed to Lord Marshal of Commerce in the National Executive Committee. Soon after being appointed to the post the government of Joseph Phealan ordered that the budget deficit be slashed and so the responsibility fell on Jameson. A lifetime advocate of free market reform he took the oppirtunity to sell-off the loss making national industries which sparked off the Long Week Crisis.
