Government
The government of Pallazia is a dictatorship. The leader usually obtains their position by assassinating the previous one. Depending on the defense of the current dictator, the leader's reign can last from a couple days to decades. The dictator's laws and orders are immeadietly put into place and cannot be questioned. If disoboyed, the offender is pubicly humiliated before execution. The dictator typically renames the nation after himself.
The current dictator is Davidov Pallazi.
History
Pallazia was founded on January 20, 2006. Pallazia's government decided to move the island from Socklend, to the more powerful region of Xindus after a civil war. Pallazia is known to be the most corrupt and extreme in the nation, based on a recent United Nations survey. Recently, the biggest problem of the government is overpopulation. To combat this, the nation has built massive seaports on the outskirts of the island.
Very recently, the nation was bombed by terrorists. The First Bank of Pallazia on Davidov Square was targeted and so far, the death toll is now 47. Nation of Quebec is currently assissting in the matter. Experts believe it is the rouge nation of Sheehanium.
Relationships WIth Other Nations
In the region, the nation has a good relationship with Nation of Quebec, Kantoriuma, Breeninion, and Kevinas.
Pallazia has a neutral relationship with the other nations, but Pittness has shown signs that they want to have closer ties with Pallazia.
To date, Pallazia only has a bad relationship with Sheehanium. Pallazia frequently spars with Sheehanium on many issues, despite both being dictatorships. Both nations consider themselves to be superior and more leet than the other. To further complicate issues, Pallazia's government cloned the leader of Sheehanium, lowered the intelligence greatly of the clones, placed them in the nation's lush forests, and made the clones the national animal. The reason for this is unknown, but other nations of suggested it is because of Sheehanium's feelings of superiority.
Military
Pallazia is well known for its compulsory military service. Pallazia does have a strong defense around the island perimeter, and is supported by nearby Nation of Quebec in case of an emergency. The guard towers around the island provide a formidable defense should the nation be penetrated. Pallazia also genetically enhances its soldiers, giving them great strength and stamania. Currently, there exists the Pallazia Ground Forces (PGF), Pallazia Naval Force (PNF), Pallazia Home Defense (PHD), and the Pallazia Air Force (PAF). To date, about 55% of the population serves in the military.
Economy
Pallazia's economy is one of the best in the region. It is a powerhouse, and the nation measures its success by the Gross Domestic Product. Like the other nations in Xindus, Pallazia is very pro-capitalist. Pallazia favours large coperations, as they tend to be above the law. Those who don't work in Fortune 500 companies are usually looked down upon. Unions are banned and those who do form them are either jailed or forcibily broken up. The Pallazian government cares little of the poor, which is evident in its complete lack of welfare.
The government mainly spends on Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. Income tax is almost unheard of, with the current rate being 1%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Cheese Exports industries.
Culture
As a rule, the culture of Pallazia is supposed to emulate that of the current dictator. As of now, the culture is similar to that of Nation of Quebec. Pallazian culture is composed of intelligent people,who have a love of technologly in the latest forms. Glasses seem to be the next fashion trend, and the citizens are highly skilled in mathematics, science, and computer skills. Citizens are seen either programming, chatting, or researching information in their homes and in popular internet cafes. Warcraft 3 sales have hit a all-time high. The culture also seems to have adopted some Italian elements, as the citizens can be seen eating rather large sandwitches filled with salami and meat. Water is a popular drink, and is served in large quantities. Kantoranity is the official religion of Pallazia, and those who are not a part of the religion are viewed as heretics.
United Nations on Pallazia
The United Nations have conducted several reports on Pallazia. They have discovered that Pallazia is the most extreme and corrupt nation in Xindus, as well as having little to no welfare. The United Nations has referred to Pallazia as a Corporate Police State, Iron Fist Consumerists, and a Father Knows Best State. Pallazia has fought back, calling the United Nations "n00bs" and shows no interest in joining.
