The Shining Peace of Mephras is a large nation which strives to serve its citizens and its environment. It occupies an island similar in size to Borneo in the southeast Pacific Ocean. The economy is fairly strong, however the citizens are always placed before economic gain. Mephras has had a long history with much conflict, however recently the various groups have come together to form a peace loving and laid back nation.
Mephras has a largely continental climate with a mediterranean climate on the northern end and a slightly colder climate near the south. Over 80% of the country is held within a nature preserve. This has given rise to Mephras being known as one of the most environmentally beautiful nations.
While home to a large population, much of it is contained within settlements of arcologies which are high density, yet environmentally self sustainable. These communities are linked by a system of maglev trains which cleanly move citizens from place to place.
