The Derivative of the Red Zealots, informally Zelotya, is a small archipelago east of South Africa. It is a collection of three former nations, Snell's Law, Zelotya, and Achtungia. All three have ceased to exist, creating the current nation. It is part of the continental region of Lemuria. The public sector is comprised of Social Welfare, Education, and Public Transpotation and Environmental Studies. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

History 1942-Present
World War Two The original Islands of Zelotya were west of the Australian city of Perth. The Australian army built a naval base near the village of Mombasa after the Battle of the Coral Sea. Australia temporarily annexes Zelotya and seven Zealot troops are sent to England in preparation for Operation Overlord. Following the Normandy invasion, all seven soldiers return to Zelotya safely.
The Cold War
Zelotya declares its soverignty in 1948, and elects its first Prime Minister, Jason Wallace, in 1952. Zelotya annexes a group of islands named D'law de Snell near South Africa. In 1976, the Communist Party in D'law de Snell stage a bloody uprising, successfully taking control of the local government. D'law de Snell immediately declares its independence. The Premier of Dlaw de Snell arrives in Borealis Catarnis.
In 1990, the Communist Pary loses support as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) begins to disintegrate. Pro-Democracy Snellians chase out the ruling party. D'law de Snell is readmitted into the Commonwealth.
Present
On 18 December 2004, the Commonwealth of the Red Zealots becomes a member of NationStates and lands in the North Pacific region. Zelotya annexes the Zanzibar Islands south of Madagascar. On 26 December 2004, an earthquake-generated tsunami completely submerges the Islands of Zelotya. Most citizens are killed. A government-in-refuge is set up in Zanzibar near Africa.
On 21 January 2005, the Red Zealots leave the Directorate of the North Pacific and joins the region of Lemuria as a refuge. On 10 April 2005, the Red Zealots becomes an official citizen of Lemuria. On 26 April 2005, the current Prime Minister Paul d'Eucryn dies in his sleep. Stéphen Desol assumes Prime Minister duties.
Military
Zelotya's military is relatively weak. A majority of the enlisted soldiers are serving their mandatory two-years, and re-enlistment after the compulsory service is at an all-time low. The military is split into three branches: Terra (the land force), Hydro (the naval force), and Aero (the air force).
Terra
The Terra is the general land army, the name being "Earth" in Latin. The Terra consists of 19,500 men and women in 14 companys distributed over 220 islands. There are two army bases, Terra Suramis and Terra Gradangi.
Hydro
The Hydro is Zelotya's navy. There are currently 14,321 men and women enlisted in the Hydro. The Hydro consists of two destroyers, the ZSS Amifa and the ZSS Caaco, and three destroyers, the ZSS Vendredi, the ZSS Mardi, and the ZSS Lundi, all based in the only navy base of Pido Pico.
Aero
The Aero is Zelotya's air force. There are four airfields, Airstrip Two, Airstrip Three, Airstrip Four, and Airstrip Five. Airstrip One was not used for fear of copyright infringement. The Aero has 7,250 soldiers, all superior-trained pilots.
Political System
The Zelotya Political System is a Parliamentary Democracy similar to Australia and Canada. Elections are held every two years for all positions on April 19 or the next proceeding weekday shall April 19 fall on a Saturday or Sunday.
