The Empire of Tidan is a tiny, economically powerful nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population are free to succeed or fail in life on their own merits; the successful tend to enjoy an opulent (but moralistic) lifestyle, while the failures can be seen crowding out most jails.
Organ donation is compulsory, the country is preparing for war, Animal Liberationists are regularly jailed, and bicyclists are banned from major roads

Geography
Tidan is located in southeastern Great Lake Nations. It's lanscape varies from low lying lakeland, to mountainous badlands, to ocean coastline. The climate is temperate, mostly covered by deciduous forests. Yearly temperatures range from -20 to 30 degrees Celcius.
The capital of Tidan is Albion. Other major cities include Melan, Rhoaltar, Pharin, Redhawk, and Karela. Tidan is devided into 3 main states Albion, Pharus, and Tidan.

History
Tidan had lived in a tense peace with Ameracadia until about a century ago, but then Tidani population exploded. As the Tidani struggled to support their growing population they began expanding their farmland and pastures. Ameracadia became very nervous about whether the Tidani would respect their borders or not. Throughout this period millions of Tidani refugees came to live in Ameracadia and the Tidani people became populous in both Albion and Pharus states. The King of Ameracadia at the time saw this growing foreign population inside his borders as an open invitation for Tidan to try to seize control of Ameracadia, thus giving it much needed agricultural land in the Melan Valley and repatriating its emigrant citizens. If this was really a desire of Tidan we are not sure but the Ameracadia's King decided not to let them have the chance, and in the following years Ameracadia invaded and conquered Tidan. This actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise as Ameracadia now doubled in size but the combined farmland of both contries was able to support itself and an imminent Tidani Famine was averted. Tidan became a state of Ameracadia, and 50 years ago given full rights and citizenship. They had not been oppressed but they were not seen as part of the Repubilc and thus were not allowed to vote in its affairs until then. The Empire of Tidan was formed when Ameracadian President Jeremy Warden declared martial law during the terrorist attack on the Senate building that killed 80 senators and injured almost everyone else. Warden disbanded the ravaged senate and proclaimed himself emperor of the new Tidani Empire, with the abilities necessary to lock down the nation and find the party responsible. After the crisis Warden decided not to return to the Republic and remained Emperor. The Americadian people felt safer with the smaller federal government and still had democratic regional government so the decided not to challenge the Emperor.

The Emperor is Head of State and Commander in Chief of Tidan.
Security
Security has been the cornerstone of Tidani society since its founding. There are two branches of Tidan's National Security Network.
Imperial Forces
The Tidani Imperial Forces are responsible for Tidan's sovereignty. This national force of 100 thousand (150 thousand logistics) including the Army (50,000), Navy (20,000), Air Force (25,000), and Marines (5,000) are under the authority of the Minister of Defence. The Imperial Forces are a priority for Tidan and receive the fourth most funding. They are kept exquiped with state-of-the-art equipment and world class training. All citizens are required to serve in the Imperial Forces for at least two years, in the branch of their choosing however demand is spread around if too uneven. In the event that citizens are unable to serve, they are encouraged to serve in logistics. Manditory service bolsters the Imperial Forces, enstils pride and patriotism, and teaches descipline.
Badlander Regiment
The Badlander Brigade is a special operations force of the Tidan Army Special Operations Command, of approximatly 1,000. These men and women were chosen at childhood as having the potential to become the perfect soldiers. The Badlander Regiment were trained from a young age in many ways of combat. The combination of natural potential and years of intense training has created the most capable and feircesome fighting force in the country. Often the Badlanders have been victorious in the most dangerous operations, and against overwelming odds. The Badlanders remain Tidan's go to force when the situation requires a victory pulled from the jaws of defeat. Despite their record of glory and valor, the public knows little of this elite and secret fighting force.
The Guardians
The Guardians are carried forth from ancient times, the Guardians were elite warriors that protected their people and land. Today the Guardians persist as the federal police force and secret service. These special forces officers are put through military training, equipped with advanced body armor, helmets, shields, and carry both lethal and non-lethal weaponry. Their specialties include urban combat, riot control, narcotic enforcement, and combatting organized crime. Guardians fall under the Minister of Law and are charged with enforcing federal law, embassy protection, emergency assistance, as well as international security efforts. Currently the Guardians are engaged in a war against the growing underground organized crime and drug trade. Supporting these protectors as well as local police forces is costly, that is why Law & Order is Tidan's first financial priority. The Guardians also use the Hali-21 Assault Rifle, and the M40A1 Sniper Rifle.
Industry
Tidan's thriving economy is dominated by its three main industries; Uranium Mining, Information Technology, and Basket Weaving.
Corporations
Redhawk Aerospace is Ameracadia's main Aircraft Manufacturer. They work in both civilian and military contracts and have been very sucessful thanks in part to Ameracadia's large Air Force.
Brennus Motorworksis Tidan's largest Automobile Manufacturer. They currently control a 72% market share, and have developed dominance in most vehicle classes. Brennus has also been the main supplier of a number of military contracts for Armed Personal Carriers and All-Terrain Assault Vehicles.
Otter Shipbuilding owns many of Tidan's major shipyards and docks. Otter constructs ships for the navy and commercial shipping.
Ti-Tech Industries is Tidan's Information Technology giant.
