The Kingdom of Portrigh is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its compulsory military service.

Its compassionate, intelligent population of 304 million love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Social Welfare. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The government pours millions of Cuillins into rehabilitation programs annually, cheese has become the new icon of political dissent, government-run screening operations remove embryos with severe genetic disorders, and smoking is banned in public areas. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Portrigh's national animal is the Sheep', which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Cuillin.

It is made up of five Provinces Portree, Raasay & Rona, Trotternish Peninsula, Dunvegan Peninsula, Central, Soay & Scalpay, Armadale Peninsula.

Portrigh's national animal is the Sheep.

The Kingdom has two main langauges English and Gaelic, which is a derivative of Scots Gaelic. There are several other minor dialects spoken but these tend to be only in small areas where non Portrigians, (Portrigian - someone born in the Kingdom), have settled. These include Irish, Norsemen and various others from the Stornoway region.
