Population: 12,000,000

Adam City, population around 12,000,000, is the capital city of Adam Island, located at the Eastern entrance of the Adam River, to the south of AcR and the north of South Adam City. Adam City is the political and administrative center of the country, and its largest city. It is governed by the Adamstag and the King.

Brief History

The spot that Adam City rests on was home to countless hundreds of former cities destroyed by war. Adam City was founded by Pedro de Sebastian in the 16th Century and experienced rapid growth after the Sebastian-Baccarato Dynasty declared it the new capital in the 19th Century.

In the early 20th Century, many of the tall skyscrapers that now dot the cityscape were built by private companies competing in Mcalesiu Co.'s "Escalator To Heaven Grand Competition." The company went under months before the winner of the best tower was announced, and no one claimed the J50 million prize.

In the 1990s, The ADAMDOME was constructed, which is still considered Adam Island's most spectacular multi-sports arena. In the late 90s, massive flooding destroyed several homes, although emergency sand-bagger deployment by the entire AI Navy and hundreds of thousands of volunteers stopped the tide from razing any of Adam City's numerous historical buildings.

From there one can take the freeway, the subway, the monorail or catch a bus to downtown. The subway, monorail and bus require tokens which may be purchased at the stations. The tokens work for all modes of transport in the city.

Education

Adam City has more accredited universities and colleges than any other city in Adam Island. Adam City A&M, Adam City University and Capital State University are the main institutions of higher learning.
