Adon Olam is a growing nation in the Western Atlantic. It was founded on May 1, 1829 by Eli Ben Moishe, who was a Messianic Jew seeking a new Zionist utopia. The King of Adon Olam or the Melech is a decendant of Eli Ben Moishe.

Culture

The culture of Adon Olam is a blend of Western European styles, due to the diverse backgrounds of the inhabitants. Basically, Adon Olam is the Zion of the West. The nation follows by the Jewish calendar, but celebrates Christian holidays as well, due to the fact that Adon Olam is a Messianic nation.

In rural areas, Olamites generally live by substanance farming and fishing only harvesting enough for the needs of the family, and the community. In more urban areas, it is capitalism as usual. Most businesses are sole proprietorships, as current laws discourage corporations due to the fact that corporations put the small business out of work.

With the founding of Adon Olam, it was decided that the national religion would be Messianic Judaism, due to the fact that every pilgrim who came with Eli Ben Moishe to Adon Olam, believed that Yeshua, known as Christ to the gentiles, was the Messiah or Meshiach. Despite the fact that it has been over 100 years since the founding of Adon Olam, every citizen in the nation is still a practicing believer.

Because Adon Olam is a Theocratic Monarchy, Religion plays an extremely important role in government. The ultimate authority in politics is the Melech. But the ultimate authority concerning religion is the Royal High Priest. Together they form the legislative branch of government, while separately, the Melech is the executive, and the Royal High Priest is the judicial. Military

The military of Adon Olam is gradually growing, and is always being updated. The first branch of the Adon Olam military formed was the Royal Army. Subsequently, a Royal Navy, a Royal Air Corps, and a special forces division known as the Gideon Corps has also been founded since then.

Royal Army

Founded in 5610, the Royal Army was originally made up of volunteers armed with a motley array of weapons, mainly flintlock rifles of the M1816 Springfield variety.

Gideon Corps

The Gideon Corps is an elite special operations group formed from all three branches of service. They are the ultimate when it comes to getting the job done. Each member of Gideon Corps is at least a Sergeant/Petty Officer Third Class. There are only three hundred men allowed in the Gideon Corps. They are named after the famous Israelite general, Gideon, who is mentioned in the Torah as saving the children of Israel from the Midianites and Amalekites
