The Imperium of Ageaol was once Paradise on Earth. But then God chose to strike. The people of Atlantis struggled to rebuild their ancient world but as the years went by, the more evil they would face.

History

4,000 years ago the land of Atlantis was begun. The people wished to build a perfect city. They desired Paradise on Earth otherwise known as Paradius. The city was self sufficient. Contact was rarely made with outsiders. They lived happily for 1.5 millenia. Then... disaster struck.

Eruption of Thera

The ancient volcano of Thera erupted. Atlantis sunk underwater. Fortunately, the population had known of the eruption beforehand and had been prepared. They had a completely self sufficient dome city. The Paradise land of Atlantis created a secret existence underwater. They never revealed the location of their ancient home to anyone and remained undisturbed for many years. The underwater city continued to flourish and when Thera was declared dormant the people refused to leave the underwater cities.

Expansion to the Stars

The people of Atlantis renamed themselves the people of Ageaol. They were much more advanced then the other humans walking the earth. In the year 1492 when Columbus discovered the Americas, the Ageaol launched the first spaceship to the moon. When the Russians launched their Sputnik satellite into space, the Ageaol already had a complex network of satellites all around the Sol system and were very near to completing the hyperspace drive. They developed their hyperspace drive and tested it. The subsequent explosion wiped out two blocks. New prototypes were built and more tests were made, this time in the open sea inside an artificial field. It worked and they soon made trips to neighboring stars like Alpha Centauri. They set up an outpost there but soon realized that the rest of humanity would not be far behind. They chose a location that was far away, yet not too far and remote that they would remain hidden forever. The new capital of Ageaol, Agola, was born in the year 1990 in Vega.

The Revelation

The outpost on Alpha Centauri was soon discovered by others in the year 2021. Their anger at the Ageaol for not revealing themselves and helping them was only held off through superior technology. Soon Alpha Centauri became vastly populated and the capital on Vega was discovered. By now Sol had gone mad with the news that there was a real Atlantis and it still existed and that its people had reached the stars when they were still fighting with swords and arrows. Afterwards relations smoothed out and the Ageaol helped the others develop a spaceship with hyperspace capabilities. With the gift of hyperspace, the Earthlings and Ageaol became diplomatically friendly although part of the Earthlings resented that the Ageaol were so advanced.

New Powers

Meanwhile, the Ageaol had travelled to other galaxies and had met the Star Wars guys. Those people who wield lightsabers and make you choke by sticking their hands out. Fortunately they first met with Jedi so the scouts were able to return and report their findings. People were shuttled back and forth to learn the Jedi secrets. They examined both the Jedi and Sith codes. They examined their techniques and skills. They even sent a student to the Jedi Academy of Yavin VI. The Ageaol soon developed their own schools and Jedi Council as well as their own Sith Lords. The Jedi and Sith are both diplomatically safe with the Ageaol government but the government tends to side with the Jedi when the two are in need of a neutral arbiter. They are free to take up fights when they want as long as they do not interfere with work or kill innocent people. The government developed special forces teams to combat the new powerful evil. The teams were made up of Force-wielders, psychics, and wizards. These were each designated to combat their evil counterparts, the Morqat(Ageaol's Death Eaters), Sith, and Gomal(evil psychics). With this new force, the government needed to take extra care that a corrupt ruler was not put in place. So, the Imperium no longer had a King but a M/Patriarch. He was basically the same but the change in name discouraged an astounding number of people from aspiring to the title. The right to rule was given to the eldest child and extreme care and breeding made sure s/he was powerful yet not corrupt. The current major breeding project plans to breed the current Matriarch of Ageaol, who is an accomplished psychic and seer with recessive magic genes, with a Jedi Knight who also has recessive magic genes. The combination of the two hopes to bring out a new generation of people, Force sensitive, magical, and psychic all in one person. As such, the government wants only the M/Patriarch to become this new superhuman until they learn how to control it.

Corruption at the Heart of the World

With these new powers, came a new group of people who wished to subject the people to torture and pain. One such person managed to pass screening by scarring his brain in such a way as to make his desires and the scarring itself undetectable by repressing the desires. Once in office, this new tyrant fixed the scarring and revealed himself. He was Sith with Gomal and Morqat friends. He created a Triumvirate of Evil. The triumvirate was made of Sith Lord Latell Maya, Gomal High Priest Malamar Mao, and Morqat Lord Cafibe Qoac. This triumvirate of evil subjected the people of Ageaol to one thousand years of torture and pain before the rebels under Maafi Lodic, grandfather of the current matriarch. He used his psychic powers to penetrate the Triumvirate's base and predict where they were going to search for the rebels next. He and 10 other elite psychics sacrificed themselves in a humongous mental explosion that wiped out all organisms in the Triumvirate's base as well as nearby Sith, Morqat, and Gomal bases. The son of Maafi Lodic, Aquola Lodic became the new Patriarch of Ageaol.

Culture

The culture of Ageaol is highly developed. Almost everyone is a philosopher and art and literature mainly center around the triumph of good and justice in light of the downfall of the Triumvirate. The people live in a simple basic society with very few major disputes. They are almost always at peace and are one of the calmest nations and one of the least rushed. The people believe that there is always time. You may hurry if you want, but there is absolutely no need to rush. Most children are not even taught the meaning of the word rush.
