Aimala Nalatu Boulea is the daughter of Nala Boulea, a former Prime Minister of Baranxtu and Anhani Masurgetu Auli, a former governor of Ωgg-Neila. She, too, entered politics and is the current Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Biography

Born in her father's home province Ωgg-Neila, she received a good education from a very young age. She knew how to read and write by the age of 4, and was allowed to move up a class upon entering school.

After graduating in 1980, she decided to study politics in the capital. Like her brother Umeri, she disagreed with her parents' politcal affiliation and joined the Party of the Union of all People of the Republic. Subsequently, she too had a fallout with her parents, resulting in her parents disinheriting her along with her siblings in 1991.

In an interview she gave the same year, she stated she was very content nonetheless, having just become engaged to Mairi Satuhanitu Meguri. The couple married a year later, the same year she was voted into parliament for one of the districts of Misma.

In the light of her success, she became party leader in 1994, after former leader Stice Anedera had resigned and entered the Liberty&Justice League.

Aimala was reelected in 1996, but lay down her office as party leader in 1997 as she wanted to spend more time with her soon-to-be born child. Said child, her daughter Maïna, was born in July.
Only a year later, Aimala gave birth to her son, Sirguni.

In the elections of 2000, she won her riding again, but this time with an astonishing majority of 86% of all votes.
She was offered the post of the Speaker of Parliament, but she declined, as it would have taken too much time from the little amount she had in order to spend with her family.

After the elections of 2004, during which she had even gained 3 percent points, she was offered the post again and this time, she accepted.

In light of the refugee crisis in 2005 during which then minister of Foreign Affairs Secui Atili made some controversial and racial remarks, she became the new minister of foreign affairs after Secui Atili had been ousted, practically overnight.
As she had to lay down her office as Speaker, her brother Umeri became the new Speaker of Parliament.
