Officially The Kingdom of Aliquantus is a country and sovereign state. Known for technology and its two beautiful Princesses who head social and cultural issues. A very traditional deportment of a sexually orientated lifestyle has recently become even more extreme, the princesses posing nude has been marked by outsiders with controversy. The nation is very developed, run by the Royal family, a governor and the governing office. Aliquantus is an island nation, fruitful and its people live in a utopia free of corrupt governance although the government is absolute and elections are none existent. Religion is seen an outdated concept and is illegal to practice. Aliquantus is an acknowledged nuclear power.

History

Following British colonial rule in 1945, the country became independent and introduced the then governing family as King and Queen, the king and queen immediately started to cull the citizens they believed to have unacceptable appearance, there was due to be an uprising by the population but to regain acceptance they had their two ugliest children killed, showing such a hard line against none beautiful people, even their own children, worked. For another one hundred and forty years the country’s issues and history was not writen as all of the historians were killed. It is thought that the people lived in a kind of social bliss, fornication was wildly out of control, it is argued that this is the reason why the population swelled. The culling stopped in the start of the nineteen nineties; the Cold War restrained other countries interfering with the issues. Recent history includes the country changing once more, the King is old, his daughters will become joint heads of state and both are known for their extreme following of the tradition of a sexually orientated lifestyle. The Princesses posing semi-nude together on a sofa cemented outsiders views that the two becoming leaders will imbalance the world morally. However outside pressure is nonexistent, the death because of appearance killings may return. On the 27th of the February, 07; trias politica or "separation of powers" was enforced by the King’s military, pressured into the position by the princesses the act introduces law where the monarch will handle social and cultural issues and hold overall power of the country, leaving the economy and other issues in control of His Majesty the Kings Government.

Geography

Mediterranean based: Hot climate, flourishing plant life from underground complex of loose brick tunnels running throughout the land that are fed by the sea. Mountainous and boggy to the south. As an island nation, Aliquantus is surrounded by ocean, the immediate area of water contacting the island is known as the Leofick Sea to the north west, the Horatia Sea to the north east and the Alma Mater sea or 'Alma Mater sounds' to the south.

Audeamus is the name of the largest island, named after the Royal Navy captain that first explored the island, he was warned by officers on his ship that the poor weather that was forecasted would most likely imprison them on the island, the captain ordered the ship towards the nearest beach and shouted Audeamus, Latin for “let us dare”. Tuebor is the biggest island of the Terra incognita islands to the south east of Audeamus and was recognised as a separate colony, Tuebor is "I will protect" in Latin. Both colony’s became independent together and formed Aliquantus as a single country. Although Tuebor was once a separate colony there are no large cities on the Terra incognita islands, the village of Ubi sunt houses the largest concentration on Tuebor with a suspected population of nine hundred.

Politics

Based around a harsher form of liberalism: Three bases of citizenship A) Criminals / Unwanted people: are stripped of all possessions and money, death penalty imposed on murderers, paedophiles and traitors. Illegal immigrants and criminals who have been executed suffer public banishment (dumped far out to ocean by the military to save on paperwork and burial grounds). B) Working class: mostly live in condo housing, rewarded with government handouts generated from tax, tax paid health service, free education and receive government help in financial crisis. C) Financially able: Free from increased pressure or exploitation of their surplus money, encouraged to buy economical vehicles, encouraged to invest in less polluting methods in living, encouraged to invest in financial supporting sceems (Help them remain more financially able). Very traditional: Immigration is extremely gruelling. Upon entry immigrants must write, speak and toughly understand the English language. Immigrants also must abide by native traditions and become a member of society, not live as an outsider and to be eligible for health/tax/housing/education benefits they must have approval from community leaders. They must also give up religion. Immigrants must sign documents accepting these standards; penalty of not abiding by this document is classed as treason. Treason is punished by death by hanging. All political issues are handled by the King's government, Miles Gloriosus is the current governor of the country, his office and he and under direct control by the king. Social and cultural issues are handled separately by the two Princesses, Princes Saskia and Anaya have set up a separate office for these issues. Conflicting decisions between the two offices are overruled by the King although he is largely influenced by his daughters.

Culture & Social

Sexually orientated adult behaviour is traditional; nudity is legal above the age of eighteen although purposely nude in front of children is a legal offence. Nudity in practice is rare (see Public Clothing and Appearance). Sexually orientated tradition has recently become more popular; both princesses are indescribably beautiful and base life around this tradition and have become the benchmark of what the public accept. Obesity is offensive to natives; obesity that invites certain medical problems is illegal. Smoking tobacco, snorting cocaine and smoking cannabis are social luxuries, for example, cocaine is used to stimulate oneself in a social area, all are legal substances. However, if any invite certain medical problems the payment of the treatment is used as punishment. Most other drugs are highly illegal, increased tax and in some cases, public banishment (dumped, by military aircraft, far out in the ocean areas) are the main punishments. Incest is illegal; to the natives it is sickening and one of the most morally incorrect actions. Age limits are largely liberal: movies, pornography and alcohol are under the 12A limit, requiring the participant to be the age of twelve and over to be able to use/view, the A is an advisory rule: A=Requiring an advisory certificate digitally signed by a parent (In case the parent disallows the viewing/use these items). Sexual activities, driving and the ability to leave and/or be independent of a guardian freely are obtained at the age of sixteen. Ownership of a weapon, a private home and large vehicles (Trucks, industrial vehicles) is illegal after the age of eighteen. Permanent housing is restricted by law to be large, the minimum size a modern house can be is laid out, based around a large four bedroom family house template set by the Kings Government. This was once a problem, space needed for so many large houses, single houses were largely replaced by condo style housing, each sharing a large social area with a swimming pool, the stacked housing and social area would replace the obsolete single house and single garden (yard). This type of housing enabled large housing and also enabled several families to share and live around a single area, each complex and attaching gardens is known as ‘ite domum’, pronounced ‘Iti-domm’ Linking each citizen together keeps crime down, it is not rare for a ‘ite domum’ to host barbecues, parties and other social gatherings for friends, neighbours and family. Homosexuality is accepted, outsiders would see Aliquantus's females as bisexual, homosexuality in men is extremely rare however, mainly due to the outweighing number of females. The people of Aliquantus are known as Aliquancians.

Life expectancy

Life expectancy is down to around the age of fifty to sixty years, scientists believe that due to the sexually rich culture, after sexual activity stops the body expires without a purpose, citizens are acceptant of this, the inevitability of death does not fear the populous. Despite the country’s scientific advances, no attempt has been made to 'cure' this trend of somewhat early death as Aliquancians view old age and dependability as a worse fate than death.

People, Public Clothing and Appearance

Due to the many generations of appearance determined genocide the public is largely of what was classed as beauty, although this act is illegal now it is because of this that the natives are extremely beautiful/handsome, the beauty of the people has influenced a great sexual culture, that of witch the two Princesses are a benchmark of. 90% of the population are golden tanned due to the climate and sun exposure. Clothing is a large industry because it is tailored for the hot weather and style that the natives desire. Baggy, loose, thin, one piece clothing with loose necklaces is the most fashionable style for women while men stray little from baggy, loose shirts and tight jeans. Generally lightly coloured clothes are the norm. Signet rings are an expensive ring, given at birth at expense of the government, these rings are a symbol of your family, they are used to sign (with wax) important documents along with a personal signature, the personalisation of such rings is encouraged, it is also fashionable to attach signet rings on a necklace. Signet rings and signatures are also accompanied by a digital signature in some cases.

Education

Education in Aliquantus is controlled by the Ministry of Public Education, although funding is high, the level of financial support it receives has not changed in many years. Being that the sexually orientated culture can inflict sexually transmitted diseases, sex education is practised more in Aliquantus than in any other known nation. Language and Literature is of high quality, schooling of language keeps Latin and English on a parallel setting and both are used for convocation. Strangely enough, the nation produces citizens with a higher IQ and common sense ability than most nations although maths education such as algebra is sacrificed; maths is a practised form of education however. Education starts at the age of three, mainly influenced by the British schooling system. Nursery school introduces children to education at the age of three; Primary school lasts from four to ten years and then Secondary school from ten years to sixteen years of age. Collage is not compulsory; passing secondary school education is comparable to a collage degree in other nations. Further education in collage is expense paid by the government although university is a private investment. Education is based around teaching practical lessons, schooling that will be used in a work related or social environment is preferred than trying to teach a teenager brain surgery.

Industry

The five largest industries are Science, Uranium mining, Technology, Defence contracting and native influenced clothing and jewellery. Aliquantus is the leading nation in Blood compatable Magnetorheological fluid technology, and a leader in Nanotechnology. Because of the proficiency of the soldiers produced – other countries purchase training from Aliquantus’s Armed Forces. The sex trade is a legal and socially accepted enterprise; Aliquantus’s sex trade generates more money than some countries entire GDP, 6% of the wealth of this industry is solely by the sale and promotion of the famous portrait of Princess Saskia and Anaya in semi-nudity. The country is a benchmark in scientific advances towards curing sexually transmitted infections.

Transport

Due to only encouragement, not pressure by the government to invest in economical vehicles personal transport is preferred, cars are strictly monitored, and only certain types are allowed, all must be of acceptable standards. Ugly appearing cars are penalised with higher taxes, some are even illegal. The electric Class 390 "Pendolino" in white and light gold livery is the workhorse on the nation’s railways, currently the only train type on the tracks. Air transport is immense; Godiva international airport is one of the busiest in existence. Sea travel is the main route for importing and exporting goods, many citizens own a private boat, swimming is classed as a national addiction, although it is not thought of as a sport.

Aliquantus Armed Forces

The military is based around highly trained, professional light infantry. The doctrine revolves around the historic military report. In it, the decision based on the “better soldiers are more capable than better vehicles” text is that only light vehicles are needed during combat. The decision may prove to be a great asset as armour has become obsolete due to advances in anti-tank missiles. The Aliquantus Armed Forces is run by the Aliquantus Ministry of Defence.

Aliquantus Army

- The Aliquantus Army is the land armed forces branch of the Aliquantus Armed Forces. It came into being on the day of Aliquantus gained independence. As of 2006, the Aliquantus Army includes roughly 112,730 active members and 38,460 Territorial Army members. In contrast to the Royal Aliquantus Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Aliquantus Air Force, the Aliquantus Army does not include "Royal" in its title, because of its colonial roots in the British Army; many of the regiments do bear the "Royal" prefix. The Aliquantus Army soldiers are trained as thoroughly and as proficiently as possible, even defying moral barriers. They also train as light infantry, since armour has become obsolete due to recent advances in anti-tank weaponry.

Royal Aliquantus Air Force

- Royal Aliquantus Air Force (RAAF) is a branch of the Aliquantus Armed Forces. The Royal Aliquantus Air Force is a powerful and proficient air force. The RAF was formed on the second of October 1947; almost two years after Aliquantus became an independent state and has taken a significant role in Aliquantus defence policy. The RAAF has 1007 aircraft and in 2006, 49,100 personnel. The RAAF has accepted the RAF motto of "Per Ardua ad Astra", which J.S.Yule translated as "Through Struggles to the Stars" in 1912. The RAF and RAAF translate it as "Through Adversity to the Stars". The RAAF is part of the Aliquantus Ministry of Defence; the RAAF headquarters is based at Royal Aliquantus Air Force Station or RAAFS Orca near the town of Govan and its current Chief of the Air Staff is Lady Tiffany Eduro.

Royal Aliquantus Navy

- At the foundation of Aliquantus there were only small frigates in the Royal Aliquantus Navy, not enough to defend the seas that Aliquantus was responsible for. Today its role for the 21st century has returned to focus on global expeditionary or blue water operations with a large and proficient navy to do so. There are currently 88 commissioned ships in the Royal Navy, including aircraft carriers, submarines, mine counter-measures and patrol vessels. There are then further vessels of the Royal Aliquantus Fleet Auxiliary. The Royal Aliquantus Navy is a constituent component of the Aliquantus Naval Service, which also comprises the Royal Marines, Royal Aliquantus Fleet Auxiliary and associated reserve forces under command. The Aliquantus Naval Service had 38,000 regular personnel as of November 2006.

Royal Marines

The Royal Marines are Aliquantus’s amphibious infantry, they are highly trained as a commando force and are specialists in Arctic and Mountain Warfare. They are also the Royal Aliquantus Navy’s light infantry. Their extra tough training and multiple range of skills are usually only attributed to special forces in other nations.
