The Constitutional Federation of Americom is a massive Federal Republic that has been in existence since early 2004 (or late 2003, the actual date is a controversial subject). Throughout its history, this nation has stood for Free Market Capitalism, Conservative social values, and Constitutional freedoms for all of its citizens. The entire Federation consists of the CFA Federated Corporate State, and several satellite states held within the Corporatical Bloc.

"Americon"

When referring to the citizens of Americom, one would use the term "Americon citizens" as the possesive form of "Americom." (For example, "American citizens" are citizens of "America").

Americon Satellite States

The CFA consists of the Federated Corporate State (the largest of the Federation member states) as well as the Americon Corporatical Bloc States: Liberty One, Americom Industries, Americommuniland, and Americon Goldenesvlies.

Leading Corporations

The leading corporations in Americom:

NashCapCorp -- Overtly huge Software, Retail store, Defense Contracting Giant. (Think WalMart + Microsoft + Boeing)

UberCon Materials -- Large logging/raw materials business.

GEOCOM Industries -- Expansive Mining company

The rest of Americom business is made up heavily of either moderately-sized regional corporations (many of theses) or family owned and/or one-man-run small businesses.

Americon Allies

Allies of the CFA include the Empire of Jason, Carus Roma, Vexas, the former Republic of Protocorp, and several others.

The Americon Government

A Federal Republic, the Americon government consists of three major branches, and four governmental levels. Like most governments of like-mind, Americom has a Judicial, Legislative, and Executive separation of powers. However, unlike other Federal Republics, Americom has a different break-down of governmental authority. Unlike most, Americom has a 4th level of government:

The Federal Kommanderat of the Federation

The Satellite State

The Pronvince

The City-State

The Americon Legislature

The CFA has two houses of Congress, the Federal Senate and the Americon House of Kommandants. To parallel these to a suitable example, the USA's Senate and House, almost exactly.

Like the US, each Americon province is allotted two Senators, and the number of Kommandants is decided based on district populations.

A litte bit of history on why the Americon House Congressional members are referred to as "Kommandants":

Before Americom became a free nation, for years it was a militaristic, anarchic state of rivaling warlords. "Kommandants" were the executive "chiefs," if you will, of the territories. They ranged in profession from CEO's, to judges, to Military commanders, and all were the leaders of their communities (elected by the people). After Americom became a nation, the first representatives in (what was at the time called) the House of Representatives were almost all the former Kommandants of the era before federalization. Thus, the first bill passed was the "House Renaming Act of 2004" which declared the "House of Representatives" the now-modern "House of Kommandants."

There are 537 seats in the House, and 120 in the Senate.

Major Political Parties

Americom has 3 major political parties:

The Constitutional Federalist Party -- The ruling right-wing party, of which President Vires is a member. The CFP's members are staunch defenders of Americon Consitutional, Free Market and Traditional values. The CFP holds 80 seats in the Senate, and 427 in the House.

The Moralistic Democratic Union -- Americom's largest left-leaning party. While they're very liberal on economic issues, they're staunch conservatives when it comes to Americon social matters. The MDU holds 36 seats in the Senate, and 70 in the House.

The Corporate Republican Party -- Unlike the MDU, the Corporate Republican Party is extremely liberal on social issues, and staunch defenders of Americon Free Market Capitalism, some would argue they even go too far with the ideal of "Megacapitalism" which critics charge often resembles corporatism more often than not. The CRP holds 4 seats in the Senate, and 30** in the House.

    • The remaining 10 seats in the House of Kommandants are held by various minor parties not listed here.
