Overview

The Incorporated States of Aneva (or 'the ISA' as it is known elsewhere) is a small but aspiring nation, home to over just over 360 million people and many aspiring corporations, Aneva is a free nation in a bold sense, it's citizens vote every 4 years and buy and sell goods without any taxation from the government.

History

</div>Aneva's history is rich with philosophy, with it's greatest philosopher 'Anna Rene' and her texts as a backbone of the nations government and constitution.

Government

Aneva's government is lead primarily by the Freedom Party, a Reneist party which follows the theory and ideals of Anna Rene. Government is incredibly small by international standards and has the primary goal not to intervene on citizens lives as much as possible, a recent national survey has shown that less than 4% of citizens have ever seen a government worker in their lives. Voting is voluntary and happens nationally every 4 years. Aneva's main opposition political party is the Democratic Party sporting a centre left ideology and is strongly aligned with workers unions.

Other parties include - The Anevan Worker's Union, The Green Party, Socialist, Right Traditionalist, and the Religious Virtues Party

Economy

As a result of Aneva's open market/free trade policies, Aneva's wealth is vast, with almost every citizen earning over A$35,000 anually. The maximum income tax is 4% for those earning over A$2million and on average %1-2 for most citizens. Almost every institution is privatised, creating very high standards of living, and education. Aneva's largest industries include Information technology with the leading corporation being aTek, recreational substances, metals, grain, and chemicals.

Military

Aneva's military budget is relatively small compared to the international average, less than one percent of Aneva's GDP is spent on the defence budget each year.

</div> Anevan's however have been involved in many wars over time, it's most famous being the 14 year civil war, fought between the League of Anevan Revolutionaries and the Defenders of Liberty (or as they were commonly known - dollies) Aneva was split in two, LAR storming and taking over the whole of South Aneva, while the DOL took refuge in the remaining North.

With help from inside partisans and the failing of the communist ideal leading to poverty and corruption DOL lead Anevan democracy to victory ensuring the freedom and liberties of it's people.

Diversity

<div" class="plainlinksneverexpand">43o2ter.jpg
The many colours of Aneva
</div>It's almost impossible to pinpoint a racial majority in Aneva, since Aneva is largely an immigrant nation. It isnt rare to see a chinese restaurant alongside a kebab store or a buddhist temple alongside an orthodox cathedral. Anevan's take pride in their diversity and bask in one anothers cultures, however studies suggest the term 'cultural melting pot' might be taken to literally, as certain cultures have blended in the sense of food, architecture, and even religion. Since industry is always growing, workers are in constant demand, thus the nations 'Open door' policy, which allows anyone of good character into the country to work.

Religion

</div>Aneva was once a predominately orthodox christian nation, but over the past 50 years membership and attendance of the church has declined rapidly, with the recent trends in scientific research and reason, leading many to adopt atheistic beliefs. A recent government census portrays the trends in faith and belief- 60% athiest, 23% Orthodox Christian, 6% buddhist, 4% Muslim, 3% other, 4% objected to answering.
