The Emirate of Ankazyan is a benevolent dictatorship. The Emir, Erol Parazadde ( here's the phonetic pronunciation to avoid confusion: eh-ROHL PAH-rah-zahd-deh) does his best to rule for the good of the people. He has four top advisors to consult:
The Advisor of Domestic Affairs - Aydin Burak (EYE-dun boo-RAHK) The Advisor of Foreign Affairs - Kadir Vadim (kah-DEER vah-DEEM) The Advisor of Military Affairs - Volkan Kurtoglu (VOL-kahn KOORT-oh-loo) The Advisor of Economic Affairs - Hafiz Kivanc (hah-FUZ ku-VAHNCH)
The Emir goes to these men for advice, but they have no real power. The Emir makes the decisions whether his advisors agree or not. The society is male-dominated (no offense to the ladies, I just tell it like it is) and strongly shame oriented. This is similar to honor only reversed; if one wants to increase their standing, they must shame, or take away the honor, of another. That's not to say people are disrespectful, because of their attempt at shaming were to fail, they themselves would be shamed.
