The Rogue Nation of Anti-Oppressionism is a large NationStates nation with a relatively long history. It was founded by Kathryn Jenkins around March 2004; she and five million other people seceded from The Rogue Nation of Real Live Weird People due to their recent abolition of elections. After the success of the secessionist movement, she was elected leader; during her reign, she brought prosperity, happiness, and universal health care to Anti-Oppressionism.
Unfortunately, she was caught having sex with a married man (Arnold Pwerman) sometime in June (near an election week); this led to the election of Evelyn Winarsky, the only other candidate running. Winarsky instituted a 10% flat tax, substantially increased military spending, and attempted to crush all political dissent. For this reason, Kathryn Jenkins and Marvin Abdoc had to flee the country when Jenkins criticized Winarsky on Marvin Abdoc's TV show and Abdoc agreed with her. They stayed in Enviro Forest (a neighboring left-wing nation) for several days before being chased by the armies of Americom (another neighboring nation fond of sticking its nose in the business of others), who chased them into the underground, near-indestructible stone building known as the UN of Morality, or UN 1.41421. They stayed there for six weeks, during which they got married and built a relationship meant to last a lifetime.
Kathryn and Marvin returned to Anti-Oppressionism upon hearing that its people had overthrown Evelyn Winarsky in a revolution and now wanted Kathryn as leader again, despite her scandalous past. Unfortunately, Americom then decided to declare war on all left-wing nations in the region; for this reason, Kathryn decided to resign and endorse a right-wing candidate rather than allow her people to die in the possible subsequent bombing. (Prior to this, she had called upon UN 1.41421 to do something about Americom; it sent in a kid pretending to be Zeus, a god from Greek mythology. This assisted in delaying the bombings long enough for Kathryn to form a better plan.) This candidate was Lisa Brenner, an admirer of Ayn Rand; during her brief reign, she cut taxes almost to zero. When Americom seemingly forgot about its declaration of war, Marvin (out of desperation) got his friends from the media to claim that Brenner had sex with a married woman. Lennard Jacobson, a liberal and former member of Kathryn's cabinet, was then elected, and he remains in power to this day.
