The Republic of Aridiris is large anarchic nation without any form of government whatsoever. The only evidence that Aridiris actually exists is the tradition long held by the people that occupy the area to call it Aridiris and a single document incased in an abandoned museum proclaiming the creation of the state. The document, known as the Constitution of Aridiris, outlines no organization for government and defines very little about the state. In fact, many Aridirans believe that Constitution proclaims the state in order to negate its existence.
The Aridirans are, for the most part, staunch anarchists and vigourously guard their complete personal freedoms from any form of state apparatus, though there are some among the populace that would like to see at the very least more security in a very limited military or police presence. Some have taken to form vigilante groups, and gangs to maintain their personal safety and the safety of their family and friends. This has led to endless street violence and long standing gangwars in some areas and has increased calls for order. While some recognize the need for order, most are wary and the only way to achieve it is by one of the armed factions to gain dominance over all others.
The Constitution of Aridiris is as follows:
Preamble:
We the accumulated citizen body of the land of Aridiris hereby, through power inherent in our intellectual faculties to determine our governance, declare in acclamation the Republic of Aridiris!
Citizenry:
The citizenry of the Republic consists of all those that choose to be citizens of the Republic.
Land:
The land of Aridiris consists of all the lands owned and occupied by the citizens of the Republic, lest an individual citizen decides that his or her land shall not be part of the Republic.
Government:
The government of Aridiris consists of its citizens, and each citizen is his or her own political body. Each political body shall remain autonomous from any other political body and may act without hindrance except in cases limited by the laws of physics.
Law:
All political bodies are subject to the laws of physics.
Amendments:
I. Aside from this amendment, no amendments shall ever be made to this constitution.
