Artificial Intelligence In NS

AI is the Holy Grail of computer science, and is well within the grasp of postmodern societies. There are two potentialities for this; one where the AI is not truly sentient and one where it is. This article will deal with the former concept, the latter will be discussed in greater detail in AI Construct.

This breakthough allows computers to mimic intelligent behavior to the point where they cannot be told from true intelligence. They are not truly intelligent, for they have no command of Qualia, or the intrinsic "chairness of the chair", but they can be vastly "more intelligent" than their human designers.

Common belief on AI Constructs is that they can only be created through a controlled evolution, such as the fictional Dawson Algorhythm used to make PROTEUS, ARES, and POSEIDON. These AI systems can be a boon to a good RP, but they are potential pitfall if used offensively against another nation, and can lead to accusations of godmoddery.
