The government decided that the nation needed a defense force that was able to patrol rivers, and Asgarnian costal waters. With a 143-mile exclusion zone around Asgarnieu in all directions, a defense force was nessicary.

The Asgarnian Coastal Defense Force, also known as the ACDF or the Asgarnian Coast Guard, is the branch of the Asgarnian Armed Forces that is responsible for maritime law enforcement, mariner assistance, search and rescue, and national defense. Its stated mission is to protect Asgarnieu in any way possible.
