The Atlantic Central Command was a military body of ancient Nationstates history. The ACC (as it was commonly called) was the brain of the Atlantic Alliance (the two terms often came into conflict and confusion), whose home was the Atlantic region. The following section of dialogue explains the distinction between the AA and the AAC (a question by ackbar answered by MrNonchalant on the original AAC forum):

SO Atlantic Aliance and AAC are different?
Yes, and no. ACC is Atlantic Central Command, or the brains of the operation (eg this board). AA is Atlantic Alliance which refers to the alliance collectively. [...].

During its time the Atlantic Alliance used two different websites, the original, by Nusseburg, and one created by MrNonchalant in the summer of 2003, now defunct.

History

List of Commanders

Originally the ACC had two commanders; one for internal operations (Operations Commander), and one to lead military forces on campaigns (Field Commander). However, from Louldamin onward there was only one head, Supreme Commander, a system that remained in place until December 2003 when MrNonchalant recommissioned the two-rank system in order to retire to Operations Commander and promoting New People to the rank of Field Commander.
