The Confederacy of AustHung is a nation that began on the border of Austria and Hungary, but soon was moved to the Pacific using super-strength nation-moving helicopters.

Government

AustHung's government is a democratic one - voting is compulsory to all citizens over the age of 21 and votes are made for Regional Ministers (RM), as well as the Prime Minister (PM). Ministers for Defence, Education, Agriculture, Law & Peace and Foreign Relations are appointed by the Representative Council (often abbreviated to 'The Council'), which is made up of the 25 RMs. At the point of writing (February 2007) the Ministers and PM are:

  • Prime Minister: Rhys Augunst
  • Minister for Defence: John Vorgenheisen
  • Minister for Education: Peter Austimargen
  • Minister for Agriculture: Jennifer Lippen
  • Minister for Law & Peace: Henry Kund
  • Minister for Foreign Relations: Jessica Gurdern

Geography

The land of AustHung is primarily mountains and valleys, often filled with lush forests. Thanks to the Environmental Protection Act of 2007, AustHung's natural environment has remained very close to the way it was when first founded. Many of the mountains regularly drop to sub-zero temperatures have permanent snow caps, so the majority of the population live in the valleys. The capital of AustHung is Ernstlich, located in a valley close to the center of the country.

Business and Economy

The private sector of AustHung is small, and is mostly made up of work in the areas of Door-to-door Insurance Sales, Cheese Exports, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Despite this, the economy could be viewed as fair. The reason for the small size of the private sector is because the citizens of the country are encouraged to help their country flourish as opposed to securing funds. Therefore, most jobs are in government or in one of the various organizations devoted to building, environmental protection or agriculture.

Law and Order

Crime is relatively low in AustHung, primarily due to a well-funded police force and prime education.

Religion

Few citizens in the country associate themselves with a religion, which is mainly because of their strong patriotism. Funds and the workforce are instead commonly focused on agriculture and science, as well as the many environment-related positions.
