The Unione of Capitalizt States of Austar Union is a massive, safe nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 6.45 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.
The enormous, corrupt, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Commerce, and Law & Order. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Information Technology, and Arms Manufacturing industries.
