History
Established back into the ancient ages, the empire originally known only as the Republic of Austar had flourished on the international stage, and had even formed one of the very first larger alliances within the nationstates realm, compeletly by accident after a political incident involving Pantera and Austarian allies, and after the successful invasion of a nation known as Esamopia. Unfortunatly, due to inactivity on both international and domestic fronts, the fate of the Austarian race remains a mystery, speculatasits claiming that perhaps the race had been spread amongst the ranks of other, European Powers.
Not too long after however, a global conference had been held, re-establishing the empire of Austar under the new banner of the Republic of Austar Union. Finally united under one entity, people remembering their deep heretige abroad flocked to become the first citizens of this nation, once again. And it wasnt too long before once again, conflict of an international nature had befallen this nation. Pantera once again, had threatened invasion of the Austar Union after an unsuccessful attempt was made on the first president's life. Perhaps un-related to the previous conflict, Panteran authorities continued to persist with threats until Austarian authories finally conceeded, and the first President stepped down after just a short time in power over this nation. Those considered responsible for the attempt were arrested.
Time passed by, and the nation had grown significantly already. And yet a minor insugent remained from the original group who had made the assasination attempt decided they would once again strike, this time with the assistance from a southern general, obviously dis-loyal to the Republic. Declaring the south seperate from the north, the General responsible claimed they had nuclear weapons, and were willing to hold the north hostage and prevent them from attempting forceful entry. For a time, the nation had been split into two sections, until a clever ploy united the nation once again.
