Title
Baron of the County of Denard
Nationality
Sicinia Salis
Age
46

William (known as Guillaume in Sicinian) is the only one of the major Sicinian lords not ethnically Sicinian. His demesne, County Denard, was originally settled by Laatzen. His family were wealthy ethnic Laatzenians who owned several ranches in the north. However, William's great-grandfather Edmund fell out of favor with the local Akaeian authorities, and so found his family poverty. Disgruntled, he began to spy for Sicinia Salis, and his information regarding the weakness of Akaeian forces proved so vital that Sicinia annexed the region without any major battle.

As a reward Edmund was given the lands captured as a barony, the county still held by the d'Meduse family today.

A softspoken and level-headed man, William is admired by his citizens for his excellent administration and just dealings. He was instrumental in the rebuilding of Denard after it was razed to deny shelter to Akaeian soldiers during the Three Day's War. Like Baron Julian d'Yseult he is regarded as dull-witted provincial; however, he is unperturbed by such sentiments and takes great pride in his large but mostly empty barony.
