Bennyia was established 60 years ago after the disappearence of the english born genius Benedict John Deuchar from his homeland in Europe. After 10 years missing he was found on the paradise island of Leota in the South Pacific, that although a safe haven for intellects from around the globe was also run by a corrupt Government run by the despot Trevor Leota. After a long civil war, the natives, led by their clever guests won the decisive battle of Quingo bay and won the war. The country was stabilised and elections were held. Benedict Deuchars party, the peoples party, won an extremely close run elction and decided to form a coalition with their closest rivals the Quingo Bay Native veterans. This was accepted and this led the country into a new era of prosperity. With his co-president Jimbo Jam, Deuchar sought to distance Leota from the international scene and focused on making the people of his country self sufficient before trying to make them rich and greedy like other westernised states around. he did this by withdrawing from all monetry exchanges with the international community and exchanged goods for goods with the nearest neighbours to the country. This was unpopular with rest of the world as there are rich supplies of oil on the island as well as uranium. THis led to the infamous 45 situation. With Trevor Leota in hiding on nearby Treago he began to stoke the fires of discontent among the government there that the new government was not giving them a fair deal
