The Blind World Cup is an international football competition for blind players, and is the world's first ever international sports event for athletes with disabilities. It was set up by the Ariddian Football Association and the Ariddian Paralympic Committee.

Rules

Each team on the field comprises four blind players and one sighted goalkeeper. All players except the goalkeeper wear eye patches. The goalkeeper calls out to guide his team mates, as does a second guide positioned behind the opponents' goalcage. In addition, the ball itself contains rattling beads, making it audible when it moves. Spectators are requested to remain quiet.

The field is twenty metres by forty, and each half of the match lasts twenty-five minutes.

As in the World Cup itself, there is no gender restriction, and teams may contain both men and women.
