Many years ago Caedryn was a great, though autocratic, empire. However, the Imperator of the time and many of the records disappeared, leaving the vast populace in disarray. Civil War broke out and anarchy was the rule of the day until Imperator Julius Vercingetorix united the warring factions and forged the reunified Empire. His successors have reformed the Empire so it is now a democracy, making nearly any thoughts of secession or rebellion unthinkable.
