Cascadia View is a large, progressive nation in the BookCrossing Region. The largest city, the capital, is Crossroads, which lies in the center portion of the country.

Crossroads is renowned for its fabulous shopping, and lively entertainment district. The city has a tradition of free music on Friday and Saturday nights. Wednesday nights are reserved as "Open Mike" nights, and musicians, amateur and professional, enjoy participation. Crossroads' markets are oriented towards crafts and books, although clothing and textiles, food, electronics, and many other goods are available.

Cascadia View's investment in education for its people has produced its modern, thriving information services sector. It still also relies on a resource based economy focused on forestry products and uranium mining. Pizza delivery has emerged as a new sector.

Cascadia View has dense forests. The mighty Bennett River runs through the northern forest region, and is a source of hydroelectric power and irrigation. Agricultural land is oriented towards livestock grazing and fruit and vegetable cultivation.

Cascadia View is world-famous for its electic and spicy cuisine. Food is woven into its festivals and into daily life.

The people of Cascadia View are for the large part devout, but as its motto reflects, diverse in their religious outlook. All the major world religions are practiced in the country, as well as the indigenous nature-based religion. Customs from the indigeous religion permeate other religious practices.

Cascadia View dominates the region in the sport of bicycle racing. Orienteering competitions also draw many fans. The Cascadian people are well-known to engage in boating, hiking, skiing, and other outdoor activities.

Cascadia View has an unusual calendar system. Each month is made up of six 5-day weeks. To accomodate seven day week Sabbatarian religious practices, everyone gets a day off mid week as well as one weekend day off. There is a five- (or six-, on leap years) day week, entitled World Peace Week, that is a festival and holiday, and belongs to no particular month.

Cascadia View's national anthem is:

Chorus: Cascadia View, united are we, Cascadia View, united are we

We stand together, steadfast for thee

Shoulder to shoulder, the proud and the free!

Wild river canyons where the ravens fly through

Tall mountain peaks and the ocean so blue

Green dogwood stands and fertile fields too

Cascadia, we're steadfast for thee.

Chorus:

Our peoples are varied throughout our great land

United, our nation is vast and is grand

Friends to the world, we extend out our hand

Cascadia, we're steadfast for thee.

Chorus:

Our peoples labor by day and by night

We've hewn to ideals and have done which is right

With minds and with strength so our dreams may take flight

Cascadia, we're steadfast for thee.

Chorus:
