History

The Cremmel Motor Corporation was founded in 1920 By John H. Cremmel of Rosendale. The company made one type of car, with only minor changes between 1920 and 1929. In September of 1929, the Cremmel model was updated to a more modern design. The design stayed the same through the economic recession of the 1930s, until 1945. In 1945, the company expanded and began making two different cars. One was a standard sedan, called the Cralison LTD, the other was a wagon called the Grand. The company continued expanding until 1955, when it purchased truck manufacturer DTC. The DTC line was extended to include less luxurious models of Cremmel cars.

In 1976, Cremmel purchased Giotizian automaker Jedu.

In 1999, the Cremmel Corporation introduced the new Generation make, in association with Audlanden automaker Avery-Kade International.

Headquarters Building

Cremmel was first headquartered in a small shop at 19th Street and 4th Blvd. in north midtown Rosendale. With relative financial success and low real estate prices in the area at the time, the headquarters was moved to the former North Cooling building at 20th St. and Ford Blvd in 1939.

The building was built in 1892, and was the first construction to be done in the new nation of Kedalfax. During the construction of the building, the Legislation created the Capitol Park, as part of an expansion plan for the city, which had just become the national capitol. The park sat directly across from the building, and gave it a view of the park, as well as the capitol and government buildings. The building was placed on the national register of historic places, and was praised as one of the most important buildings in history.

However, its legacy came to an end in 1977, when serial arsonist R. Wiley Kroker set fire to the building. A gasoline tank in the basement exploded, severely damaging the foundation. Kroker was arrested, and, in addition to over 30 charges of arson, was charged with terrorizing the nation. He became the last of only five people to ever be sentenced to public hanging in Kedalfax.

The corporation had grown significantly since 1939. There were already two satellite Cremmel offices in Rosendale. The company decided to build a consolidated office in the growing downtown area. The company purchaced an entire block, bordered to the south by Wall St., to the east by North St., to the north by Boarder St., and to the west by Loudon Row. The building became the tallest in Kedalfax, a record it holds to this day. The building is 1319 ft. tall to the roof, and has 100 floors. The antenna adds another 200 ft., for a total structure height of 1519 ft. It was constructed from 1978 to 1981.

The official address of the Cremmel Corporation, as listed on official documents, is now as follows: Cremmel Motor Corporation 1 North St. Rosendale, NVA 10131-3185

Alternative Fuels

Biodiesel

In June of 2006, the Kedalfaxian government mandated that all new diesel vehicles made after June 2007 must be able to run on true biodiesel fuels, exclusively or in addition to regular diesel. Cremmel is in full compliance with this law.

Ethanol

At this time, all non-diesel vehicles in all lines of the Cremmel Corporation are Flexible Fuel Vehicles capable of running on E85 ethanol. Any Cremmel vehicle made after 2003 is E85 ready off the lot. Any vehicle from 1991 to 2003 may be made E85 compatible at no cost to the owner by bringing the vehicle to a Cremmel dealer.

Hybrids

E10/electric hybrid versions are available of all Tunsing line vehicles, and the Cross-Trak line excluding the DTC Emerson 3500.

Hydrogen

In early 2007, Cremmel was noted for making a controversial statement against the use of hydrogen powered vehicles, claiming that the technology was inefficient due to the immense amount of electricity necessary to prepare the hydrogen. However, in late August of 2007, Cremmel quietly began development on a new hydrogen propulsion system.
