Darkreigner

Darkreigner -- also referred to as The Dark Empire, DR and Caesarion's Empire is an Empire with no local government, the localest is the Emperor's Office in Aeraeon. It is primarily found in the North Side of the Eastern Island of the Grenvali United. Darkreigner has borders with Keldjora (to its west) and Xero One, the most powerful country (economically) is amazingly placed at the nations south-west. The south-east is Barbarian Country and Darkreigner is extending its borders there. Meanwhile, to its north, the next landmass is around 500-600 miles away. The navy does not care about that as long as no one else enters its varying national water territorial areas, varying from 12miles to 15 miles. Darkreigner also owns one colony, Auric, this was changed to Excelsior when General Auric passed away.

The Official Founding Date of Darkreigner is July 31, 1184 B.C. Based on the Elven Calendar. This was when 1,000 slaves founded the city after being exiled from the once great Ostrogoth Empire. In 1171 B.C. when the Ostrogoth's Captured the City, the Magnum Wars began. This ended in around 500 B.C. when both Empires signed the Decleration of Independance. The Constitution was established by Emperor Caesar in AD1262.

Since the 1950's, when the Rabelling Hordes were destroyed, Darkreigner became a small influence in economic affairs, and more recently, political, military, scientific and cultural affairs after the Great Statue of Emperor Caesar III was erected in 1971.

Quick Overview

The Dark Communist Imperium of Darkreigner is a massive, devout nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 1.8 billion are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Law & Order, although Defence and Religion & Spirituality are secondary priorities. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 89%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Information Technology.

The police have reaffirmed their tough stance on drugs, ten year-olds regularly found their own political parties, the nation's gigantic air force is both respected and feared, and all artwork is carefully screened for offensive material. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Darkreigner's national animal is the Grey Hawk, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Coin.

Government

The Government of Darkreigner, has in its time in history, has created many new types of Government. Darkreigner has tested almost every type of Government but only one kept repeating itself. The Imperium. The Empire. This was a varying Government. Emperors like Constantinium I and Caesar I let the people have many rights and few responsibilities. Other Emperors like Philium and Auricalcose II made the people work manually and had few rights and many responsibilities. The Current Emperor, Caesarion, lets the people have many rights and many responsibilities. The tax rate is always around 75% and people do not mind this. But in times of war or crisis the tax goes up to 90% even to 100%. There is only one branch in the Dark Government. The Emperor's Branch. The Emperor is the top and his advisors advise him like a Republican Government. Then the Senate votes giving the Empire a taste of Democracy. The People vote as well. The people and the Senate vote because the intent is as quoted by the Emperor: "This is so because the people must have a say. The People give their thoughts to the Senate. The Senate can be biased towards or against the vote" The only problem is with this, is that the Emperor has the final say. He can choose whether or not to do what the Senate votes for, giving this Government a taste of the Imperium. But the issues that are always ever present in the talks are Law and Order and Defence.

History

Darkreigner's first inhabitants came from the Morian Mountains. These people founded a city there in 1184B.C. after being exiled from the Ostrogoth Empire because of treason. They built a city near the Morian Mountains and called the city Caesarmagnus. Caesarmagnus became under Ostrogoth Control until AD611 when the Ostrogoth's were falling. Since then, Darkreigner has fought many wars to reclaim more land until it stopped in 1895. Caesarion continues to take more land to ensure that all the people in his Empire have a place to live in. The actual origin of the name is unknown. The origin is so cluttered in myth and lore that it is completely impossible to recognise fact from fiction. Darkreigner has gained a reputation throughout history and the Defending World because of its Wars it fought against other nations and even regions. Such as the Auroran Wars. Darkreigner also has a reputation for winning battles with few casualties on the Darkreigner side.

Military

Darkreigner's Military is an elite force. After the Auroran Wars, all men over 18 was to participate in military service for one year. After this, they could continue to work in the Military or leave. Darkreigner's Military, especially its Army is an elite force. The Army is basically like another nations Marine's. The training for a soldier is 84 weeks instead of a usual 30-45 weeks in nations. Darkreigner is also known for having many ranks and colours. And, to add to the wrath of Darkreigner's fierce Army. A navy of 36 tactical fleets, each containing 12 air craft carriers, 24 battleships, 36 submarines and 28 destroyers or cruisers. Of course, other nations have around 100, but the eliteness of Darkreigner does not need 100, but a mere 36. Anyway, the 36 claim to be just as powerful as 100 fleets of other nations. In recent times, Darkreigner has not been at war, so these claims are just myth. But the backbone of this Military is not those. Not even its Marines, just to note that Darkreigner doesn't have Marines. But the backbone is in its Air Force.

72 tactical squadrons and 36 fighter squadrons. Each squadron has 30 Apache Helicopters, 50 D-22 Fighter Jets, 2 Supersonic Arch-Angel Bombers, 8 D-22 Bombers and 30 D-22A2 Fighter/Bombers. The pilots do not have normal training as in other countries but 150 weeks of training: 20 weeks of Normal Flight Training, 30 weeks of Advanced Flight, 40 weeks of Manouvering, 25 weeks Accurate Shooting, 20 weeks of Supersonic Flight, 25 weeks of other training.

Economy

The Economy of Darkreigner is always Very Good or sometimes Frightening. Of its 1.7 billion people (1,762,000,000 to be exact), the Government could give NS$35,000 to each person. Darkreigner's Gross Domestic Product is always in the high 50 trillion or low 60 trillion. At the time of this article, the GDP is $61.67 Trillion. The income tax now is 70%.

Darkreigner's Budget is very interesting. It spends absolutely nothing on Administration, Social Welfare, Healthcare, The Environment or Social Equality. They spend minimally (1-10%) on Commerce and Public Transport (both 7% at $2,976,895,494,268.42.) They also spend below averagely (11-20%) on Education ($4,677,978,633,850.37) and Religion ($5,528,520,203,641.34.) Darkreigner's more pressing issues spend 21% and 41%. Defence and Law and Order respectively. $17.4 trillion on Law and Order every year. Darkreigner, being in an economically competitive region, The Grenvali United, are in the top ranks. Darkreigner is $36 trillion above the Average GDP but is $95 trillion below the largest GDP of $150 trillion. The largest GDP per Capita is $43,875 by Grenval and Darkreigner is behind by $10,000 at $33,427.

Darkreigner on the whole is a very competitive nation in terms of Economics and Finance. 1 Coin in Darkreigner buys $1.70 NS. Almost double. Which is quite good. But when you get to the more, economically competitive nations like Xero One, Darkreigner is not far behind. 1 Imperial Mark buys only $1.74 NS. Only 4 cents behind.

Geography

As Darkreigner and its Capital, Aeraeon is settled upon the Northern Coast of the Grenvali United, Darkreigner has many plains but the lack of mountains is made up for by the height of them. The highest mountain in the Grenvali United, that is recorded, is settled here. Mt. Grenvali, a tribute to the Great Region. Mt. Grenvali is 12,328 meters high. The Nation is unsually rich in natural resource and never have seemed to run out. From the mass attack on Osiligoth in AD246 with 300,000 fully armed warriors all wearing steel to the huge battle losses in the Battles of Aurora, Darkreigner has never been short of resources. Scientists are baffled at this. Iron and Gold are rich in the Morian Mountains while Tin and Copper and later, Coal is rich in the Grenvali Range in Darkreigner. Oil is very rich in Darkreigner, but all of its oil productivity is made in the sea. But the Government is looking to place Oil drilling on land as well. Darkreigner is rich in cities as well, adding to the problem of pollution. Only in the furthest south there is arable land. Darkreigner is rich in trees and its Grey Hawks are dieing because of their feathers which is a luxury item not in Darkreigner but in other places. Some statistics:

Fishing is Darkreigner's main Export. Darkreigner Salmon is a very sought for product and Dark Salmon is even more popular. Because of this very good resource of money, the Darkreigner Coast Guard guard their water borders, exactly 13 miles off the coast to make sure no pirates or fishers enter and steal Darkreigner's products. But, strangely enough, the pollution should've made the fish poisoned or unedible. But scientists are baffled at the discovery that the fish are not poisoned are completely safe to eat. Even raw, 80% of the time. Darkreigner has temperatures around 35C in summer and -4C in winter. The weather is very fine because of the constant Hot Pressure Systems that come into Darkreigner. In summer, the beaches are ticketed but the beaches, since they are under private surveillance are very clean and smoking is almost always forbidden.

People

The people of Darkreigner are very "hard nosed" and very hard working. Contributing to its good economy. They like to wear expensive clothes and are not very "nude" being 97,349th in the world for Nudest. The people don't have much civil rights but they do not mind. In 1949, the people voted to join the United Nations and until this day they are still a part of the UN. Not as a delegate though, but Darkeigner was the delegate of Aurora for 38 days until the Auroran Wars. The people of Darkreigner love having jobs and less than 2.6% of people do not have a job. But, Darkreigner is an Empire. The only problem that outsiders would face is that their region, the Grenvali United is very democratic. The people overcome this by unknown reason.

The major industry in Darkeigner is Uranium Mining and 7.34% of people in Darkreigner take up this dangerous job. Also, the Medal of Freedom is the only award given in Darkreigner. Only 16 Honored Citizens have been given this award and 231 have been given the Medal of Honor or Liberty. Naturally, the Medal of Freedom is the hardest to get, Honor is second hardest and Liberty is the easiest. But be discouraged because the Senate has to vote on the decision. There have been 485 nominees for the Medal of Freedom and only 16 have gotten it. One got it by one vote (General C.K. Aeron by vote 151-150) and the biggest gap between the two numbers has only been 5 votes. So like the case in 1968, Johnathan James (134-129).
