Originally a successful fashion model in Kajurmani, Ilosse Derin Kavar (More commonly known as Derin Kavar) became interested in politics during the Separatist Years. Aghast at the actions taken against the former colony of Kajal Mars by the Imperial Government, he helped to found the Democratic Kajal movement with then-Duchess Keral of Kajal Mars. The Democratic Kajal movement opposed the Imperial Dynasty and its actions within Sol, and through a fierce guerilla war that took place in 2BDE (The Separatist War), both Lirella Keral and Kavar gained popularity with the population of Kajal Mars, and successfully rallied slightly over half of the population (55%) against the Imperial Dynasty, though this number grew when the Imperial Dynasty launched an overt attack against Mars with the intent to deliver a weapon of mass destruction to Kajal Mars. The attempt failed, and the waygate currently in orbit was destroyed, but Imperial agents within Kajal Mars assassinated the majority of the Senate.
