The sole child of Lirella Keral and the late Sorath Dajal I, Sorath Seiran Dajal, or Sorath Dajal, the Second brought about the darkest ages of the Imperium. Where his father had ruled benevolently, he was ruthless, having had his own father assassinated, and clamping down on the nation with an iron fist. While Kajal Mars had been established while Dajal I ruled, it was under Dajal II that the excessive taxation of the colonial revenues, among other exploitative acts, occured, leading ultimately to the colony's secession.
Dajal II headed a reckless campaign aimed at retaking the colony, and after subtlety failed him, he ordered the colony attacked openly. He also brought Kajal temporarily into Arda, and his actions in office ultimately resulted in his assassination. There are numerous theories regarding why he was assassinated, though few people disagree that his death was a good thing.
The most popular theories are that some of his less savoury associates engineered the event since he had planned to have them removed from their positions at the time. Another suggests that his assassination was carried out - personally - by Lirella Keral as revenge for her husband's death. It is also rumored, though less so, that the assassination was planned and carried out jointly by DEIMOS and the Menelmacari Mornahossë to install Lirella Keral as the leader of Kajal.
