The Soviet Socialist Empire of East Sibir

Geography

East Sibir is located in the northern reaches of the Super Happy Funtime Empire. Its landscape is rather uniform, being that the vast majority of the land is temperate prairies and farmland. In the northwest, the Proletarskiy Mountains dominate the landscape and supply the nation with metals. In the northeast are the Sotzializmiya Oil Fields, a subarctic tundra that is home to the regions largest supply of oil. Most of East Sibir's forests have been decimated by years of overambitious logging, but forests still dominate the southern province of Okhraniya. The Kunovat River flows from the Proletarskiy Mountains through the cities of Raskolnikovograd and Vostocknoy Sibirsk and the Rodina Marshes into Copmorn. Also, the Nerregard River, which originates in Musicle Chairs flows through western East Sibir before exiting into Lake Nessie.

Major Cities

The largest city in East Sibir is the capital city, Vostochnoy Sibirsk. Centered on the eastern banks of the Kunovat River, the city is home to the government headquarters, the premier's residence, and the awe-inspiring Citidel of Siberia. The Citidel is a massive structure, with ceremonial chambers in which most formal state ceremonies take place. The Citidel culminates in a 350-meter spire that dominates the city's skyline. Surrounding the Citidel are the state cemetaries where the bodies of past rulers and soldiers alike are interred.

The second largest city is Raskolnikovograd. Formerly known as Kunovatgrad, the city was renamed in honor of Premier Raskolnikov, whom many consider the greatest leader in the history of the Siberian people. The city lies on the Kunovat River about 150 km north of Vostochnoy Sibirsk. Raskolnikovograd is the primary industrial city in East Sibir, with literally thousands of factories in which the minerals mined from the Proletarskiys are processed and shaped into weapons of war and consumer goods.

The third largest city, Nikogda ne Smotritye, is a relatively newer city, built on the shores of Lake Nessie after the land was aquired upon the Dissolution of Nerregard. The city serves as East Sibir's main port, where goods are loaded and unloaded from the merchant fleets of Lake Nessie and the Nerregard River.

Andreevgrad, though smaller than most East Sibirian cities, is the most important militarily. The city is home to the military headquarters of the nation, and several divisions remain in reserve in and around the city. The city's economy is based on oil refining due to its position on the edge of the Sotzializmiya Oil Fields.

Korovnikovograd is home to the prestigious University of the Siberias, one of the most renowned institutes in the region. The economy is based on milling due to its locaation to the south of the agricultural provinces of Kolyma and Angariya.

The island city/fortress of Zavoevaniye serves as the primary base of operations for the East Sibirian Navy. The island was aquired from Cormonia after the Panda Crisis, which almost sparked a region wide war. The island has been heavily fortified because of its close proximity to Baka-Land and Vizian, with which East Sibir often comes into disagreement and has nearly gone to war with.
