As Emperor of the Nipponese, Akihito Miyazaki is one of the Azuma Clan, the most powerful Clan within the Nipponese people. But like most Emperors of the Nipponese and Japanese, their Emperor is much different than the Xheng Emperor. The Nipponese Emperor holds very little political power, but holds great symbolic authority as a unifying figure for his people.

Emperor Miyazaki has a relationship with Emperor Xheng that is the European Monarchs. To the Monarchs of the Arch-Imperium, they are both equal in everyway. It is conceded that the Xheng Emperor holds the political power over nation while the other rulers hold symbolic authority. Emperor Miyazaki himself holds this characteristic true and is a very popular leader for his people. From Saja Castle he performs all his symbolic duties.

Though the Emperor holds the rank of a Shogun, he is not the warrior that legends require him to be. Instead the title is directly honorary. The Emperor holds no official political stance on issues that do not affect the Nipponese as a whole. The Nipponese Emperor is a constitutional monarch which isolates him to ceremonial duties and he does not take a stance on political issues unless they are absolutely needed. He has a warm friendship with his Xheng counterpart as well as the Choson Emperor.
