The Industrial Complex of Escaldia is large nation in the Scandinavia region; the capital is Ortica.

Recent Events
Ortica has recently been plagued by riots. These riots have been connected to a group called "the 11th-January freedom movement". The origins of this group have been traced to the universities in Ortica. Riots in Ortica have resulted in the quarantine of the university district. Reports of gunfire within the district have reached the media.
History
Escaldia is a fairly new Nation in Scandinavia. It sprung from the vacuum resulting from the Scandinavian-Fennoscandia split. The nation was initially ruled by by a dictator that was overthrown by a force led by members from the different trade guilds.
Government
Escaldia is governed by a small board of directors called simply the council. The council is made up of one representative from from each of the eight largest corporations within Escaldia, as well as two representatives from the Police force and one from the department of Education. To be eligible for a seat on the board the representative must be an Escaldian citizen. The Chief Executive Officer is chosen by the board and must have no affiliation with any corporation. The Current CEO is Jörgen Ulvesson, former representative from the department of education. The CEO can be dismissed by a 2/3 vote from the board of directors, whereupon a new CEO is to be nominated. The new CEO is accepted upon a majority vote from the board. Before the recent merger of the police forces and the army there was also a representative from the military.
Economy
The main industrial endeavors of Escaldia are Automobile Manufacturing, Gambling, and Uranium Mining. Five of the positions on the council go to Car manufacturing Corporations, one to a new Internet Gambling Firm and two to quarrying and geo-surveying corporations.
Healthcare
Basic healthcare, for work-related injuries only, is provided by the government. Those without a health-insurance policy and no money are left to their own mercies.
Education and research
Education is the second largest priority in the Escaldian federal budget. A wide array of different, free educations, are available to the public. There are also private schools and universities but they offer no courses beyond those that the public ones do. They do however generally offer more student support and tend to have higher teacher-student ratio. Roughly 20% of the Escaldian Population have university-level education, 50% have college diplomas and almost everyone else has at least a high school diploma. Escaldia has numerous research projects and is a leading nation when it comes to weapons and industrial research.
Religion
There is no religion within Escaldia. All religion practised outside the confines of ones home is illegal. There is a Christian minority but Government figures have it at less than one percent of the population. Most citizens are Atheist.
Law and Order
Law and order is a major part of the day-to-day life in Escaldia. Since the merger of the military and the police the amount of patrolling police officers have increased drastically and police APC can be seen on Escaldian streets at all hours. All Escaldian citizens are barcoded and fitted with a GPS transmitter at birth.
Military
The Escaldian Military is now merged with the police force.
Media
The media is not under government control, however most news sources are owned by corporations with members on the council and therefore often portray a positive image of the government. Newspapers and television stations that display a too "liberal" view of the government seems to be plagued with police raids and often gets taken off the air when their funding gets cut. The largest news outlet is the "Escaldian Television News Network" or ETNN for short.
Ortica
The Capital of Escaldia is massive metropolis made up of nearly 1/3 of the nations total population. The city is divided into sectors with checkpoints between them. The university sector is next to the government sector. Within the Government sector lies the Escaldian-HQ building called "the wolves den" by the public.
