History of Falcania

A peaceful nation until 1950, Falcania prospered but did not make itself noticed. A rather dull country, you may say. All until April 1950, when Terranea invaded the sub-Pacific Border. Falcania was hit hard, with the Terri forcing themselves upon the country. Within a year, it was under total occupation, with the TDF [Terri Discipline Force] patrolling the streets with rights to do whatever they wanted. The TDF, also known as Blackies because of the black suits they wore, were permanently at war with the Falcanian Militia, who wanted freedom. Led by Cmmr Falcon, they fought tooth-and-nail with the Terri, and finally, on August 1 1954, they won a critical battle. Having driven the TDF to the capital Mathdon, the FM destroyed them and were victorious. Falcon was crowned King Falcon I on the battlefield.

All was great until August 1 2004, when a Terri assassin killed him whilst he was celebrating his Golden Jubilee. His son, then Cmmr Falcon II, suceeded to the throne, proclaiming his country a "free kingdom" in memory of his father. Falcanian Military Organisation

While small, the Falcanian Army is well known for being one of the most organised in the world.

Numbers: Each squad consists of 9 privates, normally led by a sergeant, unless it is a command squad (see below). A platoon consists of 5 squads, total 50 men. A company consists of 5 platoons, or 250 men. A battalion consists of 4 companies, therefore 1,000 men. A brigade consists of 5 battalions, or 5000 men. A regiment contains 5 brigades, and 25,000 men. There are 25 regiments at present, total army strength of 625,000.

Leadership: As noted before, the vast majority of squads will be led by a sergeant. However, each level of numbers has a different level of command. A platoon is led by a lieutenant, a company by a captain, a battalion by a marshal, a brigade by a brigadier, a regiment by a general. The entire army is led by the Commander, currently Cmmr Michael Hack. Each officer has his own squad, which is the first in the level, for instance the first squad in a platoon is led by a lieutenant, the first squad in a company is led by a captain, the first squad in the first platoon first company in a battalion is led by a marshal, the first squad in the first platoon company of the first battalion in a brigade is led by a brigadier, and the first squad of the first platoon of the first company of the first battalion of the first brigade in a regiment is led by a general. The first squad in the first platoon in the first company in the first battalion in the first brigade of the King's Royal Guard regiment is led by Cmmr Hack himself.

All platoons in an artillery regiment are accompanied by a Light Tank, and all platoons in a First Riflemen regiment are accompanied by an APC
