Origins of the Corporation

Gadget Corporation, better known as GadgetCorp, was founded, and is currently led by, Dinar Jetz, one of the few surviving Narzoth in the universe. Originally a household appliance company, Gadget Corporation was the manufacturer of such machines as the "Food-O-Matrix" foodstuffs-generating device and the "Assist-N" line of helper robots. It was a profitable market, which soon led the shaky company into an economic skyrocket.

At the same time the company's employees reached the millions, a series of intergalactic wars had broken out in the universe, a prime time for the Weapons Systems market, and thus Mr. Jetz was faced with a conundrum. Keep the company as a friendly appliance manufacturerer or begin the production of Warfare Equipment and possibly lead the corporation into the light of economic expansion. Eventually, he reached a negotiation: Do both. With GadgetCorp's (As it was fast becoming known) burgeoning employee population, they could easily keep their production of Household Gadgets as well as move onto the creation of weapons. Of course, this would mean a slight strain on the current budget and the reduction of production services, but it was a price he was willing to pay.

The Thereafter

And so GadgetCorp went on to become a Weapons of Warfare Dealer, while still retaining its simplistic roots. It began producing the basics: Plasma Autorifles, simple Auto-Guided Rocket Launchers, and even several more unique weapons, such as the "Infector," a deadly Biogun still sold today.

With the increase of sales due to these new advances in its product selection, Mr. Jetz decided it was time to add Vehicles to their line of merchandise. The original was the "Vulture" Hoverbike, a hit-and-run vehicle, whose schemata was purchased from Terran Battlecorp Inc. With research done on this "borrowed" technology, GadgetCorp soon released the "Stinger" Groundrunner, a vehicle loosely based upon another TB Inc. vehicle, although fitted with enough GadgetCorp-Brand weapons and upgrades to make it legally different.

Several new vehicles and weapons later, the company moved onto producing the Creme de la Creme of Intergalactic Warfare Products: Spacecraft. Buying out the former rival, TB Inc, had led to the discovery of several in-develpoment blueprints locked within a safe found in the CEO's desk, namely the Wraith, a combat-stealth fighter. In an unusual hurry, the Wraith was put onto the market only a week after the prototype was made. Needless to say, it was a flop. The systems were outdated, the weapons and control systems antiquated. The design made the ship clunky and dangerous to be in. The too-early release of the fighter was one of the worst decisions in Gadget Corporation history, and stock in the company reached an all-time low.

After firing the engineers responsible for the shoddy workmanship and early release date, Mr. Jetz ordered the complete redesigning of the Wraith, with the exception of the sleek, Y-shaped frame, which he had taken a liking to. It took over a year to completely modify and readjust the Wraith, not including the time taken to raise money for the extra research, which was difficult considering the company's economic situation. It was successful in the end, however; when it was released, the Wraith Mk II was a huge hit, and restored an impressive portion of GadgetCorp's former level of customer trust.
