Founding Lore

The dream of a bunch of students, led by one particular dreamer, to found a nation based on idealism to the core.

The founder was born in Coral Springs, FL; but lived most of his childhood in Montana, before his family moved back to Coral Springs, where life for the founder changed dramatically.

Tsunami Masaki was her name, hence the reason how the founder changed from a self professed nobody, into a strong individual, with convictions, and expansive vision that attracted an incredible following.

Fanciful as it all sounded, the fact that the founder was actually related to an actual royal, however weak in title, lent enough for the others that would eventually comprise the Republic Council to encoruage taking advantage of the desire of the group of people around him to take things one step further. Twenty hard years of toil and blood, along with several total revampings of the govering system, to arrive with the goverment and citizenry to reveal themselves to the rest of the world.

Tolkein, Asimov, Sagan, Lewis...

Einstein, Edison, Hakabi...

Kerensky, Steiner-Davion, Rommel, Patton...

Idealim, Invention, War. These three aspects formed the paper framework for the auspices of the nation. The iron frame, then the titanium, became the Cultural, Science, and Military Pillars of the Ascendancy.

Government

Goverment, formed around a combination of the spiritual aspects of Shintoism, along with the Democratic principles of successful nations. The Republic format was chosen over the pure Democratic, as a Caste system was adopted, allowing different forms of democratic process. That caste system helped form the executive, military, intellegence, senatorial, economic and educational aspects, under a rigid environment that both promoted free though and speech, but limited other aspects under the auspices of the Council body.

Purpose

If this was all there was to the nation however, there would be lacking the one fundamental reason the nation was concieved.

To procreate it into the stars. The 'Stars Directive' was the Founder's brainchild almost from the moment the nation was concieved.

To eventually use it's resources to expand to other worlds, claim and colonize, and expand the idea even further. Not would Pluto be the limit.. not Centari... not the edge of the Galaxy..

..not even the limits of the Universe, or even this Dimension, if ever crossed.

In the Founder's own words: "I don't like limits...

History

= The First Age of the Ascendancy (3190 - 3222)

The Ascendancy officially revealed it's existence to the universe on 1 January, 3190, and evern since then, the Ascendancy has refused to slow down it's rapid growth into the Stars. Early on the Gaians explored the immediate area of space claiming 17 Star Systems during the First Great Expansion, all the while searching for hidden chaces of Ascendant technolgy, hinted by the Stone Words and other data garnered from the systems within the White Diamond Star System. During these explorations, the small fleet began to encounter several other star races, and other more dangerous forces, and had to adapt quickly to the hostile environs the Exploration Fleets came across. However this did not deter them from making inital friendships, as well as catching the eye of the civilizations at large.

It was during one of these exploration missions that the Gaians along with several other races, were 'nabbed' by the now famous Ascendant Dysan Sphere. There the Ascendants themselves revealed themselves, and forced the Gaians to come to terms with who they were about to become, with the risk of their very capability among the stars at stake, not to mention their adopted home planet, and several other planets that were 'teleported' by the power of the technology the Ascendants possessed. When Aleaic finally came forth to confront the Ascendant Avian Lord named Ackronus, he convinced the Ascendants to spare the planets and his civilization, but in doing so, was confronted with his own hidden truth, of being a agent of the Powers. As a result of all this, the Ascendants began to leave their Ascendend state to live among their ancient worlds, and their new allies.

Thanks to the Ascendants assistance, numerous new worlds with Ascendant caches were discovered, and new allies were brought forth to the fore, namely the Angelics and Krysallians. During the next few years, the Ascendany conducted the Second Great Expansion, bringing 80 new Systems into the fold, with a military and economic might to match the massive resources of these systems. The CAG Tourman grew massive as a result, and just in time..

..for their next tests came swiftly.

First came the entry of the Neo Zetans, after a series of Ion Cannon tests drew Gaian Intellegence to send several vessels to investigate. Eventually an agreement was reached where the two would be amicable to each other, all the while they both expanded. This eventually included the Gaians agreeing to reclone the body of their fallen Goddess: Aura, and the Gaians exchanging star maps with the Zetans. However during this timeframe the Zetans grew suspicious of Gaian power, and began to be prodded by the nation of Sephiroth to attack. But before this could be attended to, a second major event rocked the Republic to it's fundations.

In early 3209, the sudden appearance of forty WarShips and numerous more JumpShips of the announced Clan Snow Raven, caused the Ascendancy to face it's greatest challenge to it's cohesion as a nation, worse to it's military, modeled off of the Clan system that was 'supposed' to be only the writings in a book. After Aleaic answered the summons of Khan Lynn McKenna however, the fantasy became all to real, an event contrived by the Ascendants to test the Gaians, and caused a four day battle across six Systems that eventually cause the Ravens to be Absorbed into the Clan Angel Galaxy Tourman. Despite the bloodshed on both sides, it all also proved that the CAG Tourman had teeth.

In the wake of this event, the Republic reorganized the Snow Ravens into the renamed Snow Eagles, and placed them as their own Tourman under CAG command, to safeguard the worlds and area they had arrived in. Also at the same time CAG Command commissioned the Clan White Tiger TOurman, created to guard the result of the Third Great Expansion, one that brought the total Systems in the Ascendancy to 300+ Star Systems. But even with the new forces added, the Republic was stretched somewhat military wise, and began to install the reverse engineered StarGate system on all worlds to help give expediency to ground forces in reinforcing a front. They also began to experiment on a new type of Jump System called the Boson-Fold Drive, one that promised to bring Fleet capability above par of it's counterparts, though the technology was already in use by other races, it eventually gave the Ascendancy an advantage on it's exploration front.

But as these events happened, the Zetan front suddenly turned cold as an internal election brought to the fore, the internal Nazi Party, led by Hiei, who called the Gaians 'paper tigers', calling on Zeta to invade the Ascendancy. However most of this was on the premsise of the Gaians preventing the Zetans from expanding, and when a diplomatic exchange revealed Gaian intentions otherwise, the Zetans lost their bait hook to cause war and swiftly after, Hiei was imprisoned by Zetan authorities. All this also revealed that Sephiroth was excacerbating the situtaion, who the Gaians then drew support from the nations of Kiroval and Xenonier among others. As a result dialoge was established with those nations as well, though the inital attempts were muted at best, caused by Zetan Emperor Jayce's insistence on showing the Gaians secret technology that the other two nations found disturbing.

Meanwhile the Ascendancy in 3207, before the Trials against the Ravens, decided to embark on helping the nation of Evil Woody Thoughts to go from a Terran race, to one among the stars. After a series of discussions of Gaian experience among the stars, and a terse interview in front of the Woodian Parliment, the Woodians agreed to learn from the Gaians, along with purchase of other nation's vessels, how to live in space. As of this timeframe, the Woodians are learning to live among their benefactors, as well as the Gaians learn how to deal with a more primitive civilization with dignity.

The Gaians in 3215 began to reveal yet more. During the year, during the conference on Neo Zeta Prime, the massive Warship of Ascendant design, the ancient Eternal Destiny was unveiled, the 500 kilometer WarShip drawing amazement and dire glares all the same. Also the Ascendancy perfected genetic technology, allowing for the normal Gaian to live an incredibly long life, allowing for even more years to devote to themselves and the Ascendancy as a whole. Then later that year, the Ascendancy began Fold Jump tests in the Milky Way Core Galaxy, and later on still, began to Fold to entirely new Galaxies all together. This has resulted in expansion of the Ascendancy into the following Galaxies outside of the Milky Way: Sapphire, Angelica, Undar, New, Reshin, Huntaerian and Talos Galaxies. Many more are slated for colonization, namely the very large Destiny Galaxy and the super ancient Atarian Galaxy among others.

Then came the Wave saga. It began simply with an escape of Hiei from his prison, drawing confused reports from several nations. By the time the picture became clear, it was too late. Hiei released the enemies called the Servants of the Wave. Eight terrible enemies that focused on destroying the Gaians and enslave both them and the Zetans. In the ensuing conflict, the events took a massive mystical feel, as Aleaic was forced at least to accept his legacy as a Power, all the while the Wave attacked the Council itself. Skeith attacked first and placed Tsunami and Tenchi into comas, and then later during a live broadcast from the Gaian Ascendancy News Network Center, Seto and Tsutsumi took the same brunt, along with numerous Angel Gods and normal souls of all Four Races likes.

The Skeith was drawn to the Palace Tree once more, just after Aleaic met the Goddess: Lady Creation, and then melded with the Core Tree of the Hikari. The Hikari Trees were a 'memory' result of the growth of the Palace Tree, made from a Seed given to Aleaic by his GrandFather just prior to the Founding. As a result, Aleaic had access to a p[ower that could match Skeith, and in an ensuing battle, Skeith was defeated, and the comatose victims freed. However the assault was far from over. Jayce was a prisonner of the Wave, and made to do it's bidding.

Innus as a result came next, using his terrible influence to sew discord into the minds of the Gaian people. However this started to take place a few week after the Skeith Incident, and by then the Gaians and the Hikari Trees began to grow to know one another. By the time Innus was ready to attack, Hikari Trees and many Gaians including the entire Council and their families, had chosen Partners to meld with. As this occured, Seto had Jessica, Jayce's sister Jessica was drawn to meld with the Hikari Tree she called Kikyo. As a result of this, Innus was revealed too early, and faced the wrath of the Melded Gaians as a result. During the battles that occured however, Innus was destroyed and Jayce released, but Innus managed to shock Aleaic into a coma, all the while Morganna and Lady Creation faced off in a war of words.

That however led to far worse as Morganna revealed Magus, and the assault on that Wave Servant caused it's death, and the full Wave to be revealed. But as Morganna was ready to destroy all reality to her own whims, Aleaic was brought back by his wives Tsunami and Arashi, and their love helped fuel a different kind of response to the Wave. With the called upon assistance of the Powers themselves, combined with the Trees and all the Power of the Hikari and their Partners, the Wave was overwhelmed in a wave of total light, and Morganna's power broken. She escaped, but her capability was sundered. As a result, Jayce was freed, though demonically transformed, and offered a full alliance with the Republic.

As of this time, the Ascendancy is currently consolidating it's new alliances and vast empire. Over 2,500 Star Systems now fall under Ascendancy influence, from the discovered Inner Sphere Powers in the Talos Galaxy, the alliances made with the Fungesians, Alcorians and Kartasians in the Huntaerian Galaxy, and the continued war to liberate the Energon from the dark enemies of the Sapphire Galaxy. This has all led the Ascendancy to become an established power among the stars, and none can deny that now. Recently the Ascendancy has called for a Trade Conference between star nations, continued to assist the Woodians in their expansion, and even has seen it's soccer national team gain a championship by capturing the Cup of Harmony XIII trophy by beating Melmond 1-0 recently.

As a result more, the Council declared the start of a month and a half long celebration called Startica to begin, during the Trade Conference, to show the universe the pride of the Ascendancy, as well as how the Gaians enjoy a good party. However dark rumblings also loom, as a Gaian mission to extract a dangerous piece of Ascendant technology, caused them to encounter the expansionist Nova Zeta nation, along with the so named 'Dominion Axis', which gives pause for future events. Currently the trade conference has begun, with a slew of parties from many nations attending during the celebrations. But more, the technology recovered is giving the Gaians pause about their benefactors, with the evidence of the possibility of creating new dimensions, or even destroy them. More, the Ascendancy has entered tenatively into the Temporal Accord, in an effort to guard against those areas of possible 'assault' ass well.

However the trials had yet even to begin. Within months of the Conference, Nova Zeta invaded and assaulted the Neo Zetans at Ishbal, causing catastrophic civilian casualties, before the Gaians stepped in with special weapons to halt the Nova Zeta assaults. However this was only part of the larger plot developing. At the same Conference, the Deatharon representative Lord Marius sought for and recieved sanctuary from the Deatharon Marines that would have brought him back and tortured him to death on Marius's homeworld. As a result of Belldandy's and Keiichi's meddeling, the Ascendancy found itself 'giving' it's assistance to the Deatharon people. Despite the admonishment Aleaic gave the two Morisato's, he also heard the stories of Deatharon atrocities within that empire all too clearly. It becamse the focal point of everything the Gaians wanted to put into practice.

Two months of preparation and deception later, the Gaians and their FACAF allies, launched a massive two week campaign that assaulted all eightteen of the Deatharon Systems, while still also sending supplies to the Neo Zetan people. This invasion of liberation, as the Gaians labeled it, was the first time the Gaians employed Ionic Weaponry, weapons that could have the impact of normal weapons, but replaced the lethality with effects intended to save enemy soldiers lives, so as to later reintroduce them into the revamped society that the Gaians would help rebuild, into a more noble and magnanamous culture. This was the end result for the Deatharon people, once the Deatharon's surrendered to the Gaians and their allies. The campaign was costly however to the Gaians in the end. During the conflict, the the Zetans in the area, led by Sensui and Albedo, conducted two acts of travesty that the Detharons, and the Dominion forces in the area, saw as also Gaian breaches of honor. The Gaians couldn't counter this properly and could only limit the damage to their credibility for the time being.

The same couldn't be said for White Diamond itself. An entire Dominion Assault Fleet suprised the Gaian defenses enough to Fold into the Homeworld System, and manage to attack it. In the process of a massive six hour battle, the Dominion managed to punch a hole in the Gaian defenses and launched an ADD warhead into the atmosphere. While the Gaian shields managed to keep the weapon from striking the Holy Palace Tree, the weapon did detonate in the in the atmosphere and caused damage to a wide tract of Gaian land, enough that two hundred and fifty thousand plus Gaian souls were immolated in the effect. The Dominion after being beaten into a bloody draw, finally relented and withdrew after offering a cease-fire to the Gaians. The threat of more such weapons was a sobering part of the agreement. In the end, the Gaians had to live with a tragedy over their own homeworld, one made due to the acts of others using their name.

However one other major event occured during this period, as the Gaians were offered an alliance proposal from The Humankind Abh, a race the Ascendants had informed that were very strong allied potential, but one that was also uncertain due to the apparent alliance with the Dominion. However a diplomatic party that attended apparently learned the Abh were rather more interested in the ideals the Gaians sought, and formal relations were conducted. At the same time, the war ended, and the Treaty of Snyggast was concluded when representatives of the Dominion, Neo Zetans, Deatharon, and the Abh as moderators, agreed (albeit less than agreeable mindsets,) and ended the conflict.

The Second Gaian Trade Conference was soon begun in the Treaty's wake, and nations large and small came to the Ascendancy to keep growing in trade, and the hope of peace. The Abh were cultivated as a permanent ally, and many nations became impressed with the Stargates and vast starmap archives the Ascendants had. However this all was a short lived hope, as about eight months into the occupation of Deatharon, the Draconis Federation suddenly intercened, impulsed on by the behind the scenes schemeing of the Blue Cosmos organization that existed within Neo Zeta. Led by Albeido and Sensui, they attempted to destabilize the situation into a war, as the Draconis Federation attempted a blockade. The Gaians however did not back down, and a war nearly did erupt. However this all suddenly led Aleaic to believe he had become something he always feared, a tyrannical leader. As a result, and even with the Conference still taking place in the midst of his subjects, Aleaic suddenly, and quite secretly, exiled himself.

In a terse message declaring himself unfit, he Exiled himself to a secret location, while declaring the Ascendancy in Isolation. The citizen souls of the Ascendancy were by far, very shocked, and suddenly lost. The Council was at a loss as how to respond, and could only di their jobs as best they could in the absence of their formerly respected leader. The events of the Exile however would have far more dire consequences than merely bruised egos and pride.

Aleaic meanwhile managed to reach his original homeworld, Terra, and secretly teleported to the surface after a trip in his personal XGP vessel. His destination was a childhood ranch homestead outside of Big Timber, Montana Province. There he found the old home still run by his old, (though expectantly 'young') Nanny, Jennifer. He also found that several agents from Deatharon, and Lord Whitfield of the Woodians had followed. He however shrugged them off, as well as nearly being trampled by cattle because of the 'agents', and took several days to help in a cattle shift drive, getting his hand dirty again like he once did. He also tried very hard to ignore what was unavoidable, and after they returned, he found that his Gaian core family, his wives and blood family, had followed him to Terra.

Meanwhile, the Gaians of the Ascendancy managed to continue on for the present, moving on with the Conference, stopping a war between the Deatharons and Zetans, and moving forth with the formal alliance with the Abh. They also agreed at that time to honor the defense comittments of the Deatharons, prior to their entry into The Republic. But even all this, and the introspection of the Isolation, could not prepare them for the Black Wilt, and the resultant Space-Time Schisim. At first a minor dull feeling and echo in all Hikari User minds, the Black Wilt began as when the Trees, feeling the emotional feedback that, which for the Trees, was as strong as any particle or magnetic energy wave, caused them to start literally wilting their glowing white leaves, into a blackened char that started spreading to all Trees. Very quickly after, all Users were affected, as the Trees lost their ability to remain stable, and their Partners suddenly fell into mass comas. This reflected back into the Trees, and 'it' started affecting the special subspace layer the Trees fed upon, and derived their shared power. As a result, the Trees own emotional and weakened states affected this Subspace Layer with growing reflected waves. This in turn began to act like crashing waves growing more and more violent. This in turn began to affect 'adjacent' subspace and emphatic energy and astral layers, which began a cascade that was affecting all or reality itself.

Meanwhile Aleaic was forced to come to terms with who he was, and in turn, why he fled his Throne. He learned to his unknowning shock, that his family and friends had willingly come with him to his new world and universe, at the behest and prophecy of The Great GrandFather. There was such a belief that one that, that Aleaic would see a time where his station and powers 'would' bring a singular moment of destiny unto reality, that none of them could risk ignoring it, no matter 'what' the cost. Aleaic, after learning this, felt more at ease with himself, as well as the fact that his family didn't see in Aleaic, what he feared he saw in himself. As a result, Aleaic began to gain confidence once more.

But the test that solidified his detiny, was the Black Wilt, and it claiming even his wives and family in one single stroke. With the sight of the very sky shifting into negative and armageddon like pigments, Lady Creation appeared and laied the blam squarely upon Aleaic alone. In the course of a long conversation, Aleaic learned that he was supposed to be a God in whole, in being the Representative Power. He also learned Creation had a 'problem' with mortals in the first place, believing them too weak and incapable to grow to the levels that existed beyond the realm of the mind. Aleaic objected and coldly replies Creation was a bigot against mortality, and even chided her on her 'own' lack of ignoring her former mortality. He even snapped harshly against himself 'ever' being immortal, claiming that there was no reward or hope in being so. In fact, being a God was of such distaste, it led to Aleaic being the first Representative Power that 'was' a mortal, rather than a god.

Lady Creation seethed against this, but it was The Great GrandFather that finally ended the argument, having used his powers and help to 'stem' the cascade of the Black Wilt. He then learned from Aleaic why he was forced, and it all fell into place of the destiny Aleaic had before him. The Representative Power was a being that could reshjape the cosmos to his whims if needed, yet was a power true to his heart and being. With some deep instruction after, Aleaic then learned to calm and control the Chasim that had opened in Subspace. Afterwards, Aleaic was fully accepting of himself, and mentally informed of the end of Isolation, and that he had Returned.

A side event of all of this was Jennifer, who, as said still young despite the years, thanks to Lord Terrai having sent genetic regeneration equipment to the old ranch homestead, installed in the very walls, and as a result, was more than youthful enough to greet the far more aged Lord Excellency, verses the child she had known previous. The consequence was that as Jennifer leanred more of Aleaic, she also grew enamored with him. A single kiss apparently upon one evening after the finish of the inital cattle run, under a clear Montana, night sky, ended up having very serious consequences after Tsunami and Arashi found out. The final effect was years off however, ones that came all too quickly.

With the Return, came the growth of the darkness that would drive the Ascendancy to a singular act of change. The Jedi were the central catalyst, and the Zetans ended up being the powderkeg that was set. When the Zetans and Deatharons nearly went to war with each other, they drew in the Galactic Empire Alliance and The Republic Alliance respectively. This drew into a larger situation that threatens war to this very day. But it was the arrival of Master Tuta-Sar and his company of refugee Jedi from an actual Old Republic that survived a very real Purge, that drew out the unexpected arrival of a very old, and singular enemy unlike any other. The Zetans Lord Tyrannus in fact was Lord Hiei, the same that started the Dark Wave ten years prior at the time. He arrvied and attempted to make 'peace' with the Jedi, but was cooly recieved. In the end, it was apparently all a ploy, as Jedi internal of the Zetan realm was suddenly targeted by Zetan armed forces. Even with a denouncement by the Gaians, the Zetans continued to persecute, and even attack outright the Jedi, taking the sides of the Sith too readily. They even drew in the GE after the Jedi tried to rebel.

As a result, the obvious plans of genocide was met head on by the Gaians, who intended to stand against this act no matter what the cost. They even threw aside the threats and initiated the conflict that led to the GE attacking the Ascendancy in force. At the same the time Gaians learned of, and tried to save the apparently captive Zetan Royals, Emperor Jayce and his family. However as the conflict started to widen beyond the Ascendancy ability to cope, at that moment, Aleaic and his rescue team managed to find, anf then learn of the demans from Jayce's own mouth. Aleaic then realized that there was no hope, and that his final secret plan had finally come. A year before the Exile, Aleaic realized the Ascendancy was unmanageable in it's current state, and asked the help of the Ascendants if the Ascendancy could 'move' to a new place. It was held back due to Aleaic's own doubt in his powers, and the fact he hadn't proven them to the Ascendants without mistake.

After the Exile and the Black Wilt, the Ascendants approached Aleaic and agreed to the proposal to have the Gaians take over governance of a large region of space called the Archonis Supercluster. When Jayce's words reflected a situation that saw only ruin for the Ascendancy if they stayed, Aleaic decided to 'move' the entire Ascendancy, even whole galaxies alongside Systems and other celestial matter, and all it's assets and citizen souls, out from the conflict. Aleaic deliberately used his powers to change the dynamics of celestial mechanics, and even physics itself, in moving over 20,000 Star Systems, all the assets, entire nebulae and several Colony Galaxies, from the Virgo Supercluster the Milky Way resided in, and to the Archonis Supercluster. This both effectively ended the war, moved all the Jedi in the conflict into the Ascendancy, and saved the Ascendancy all the same. This all however very nearly killed Aleiac, as the use of so much power, and in such detail in effect and result, was far too much for a single being to handle. For two weeks after was near coma, and after he awoke, he had the worst flu of his life. Even genetic med-science was incapable of healing him from a common flu, simply because so much lifeforce had been used up.

= The Second Age of the Ascendancy (3222 - 3290)

In the end, the Ascendancy had hidden themselves away, and began to both heal, and change their entire society to prepare for their Second Revealing. This all also ended the First Age of the Ascendancy, and the second began five long years later, with many changes, one most notably, the fact that all Gaian citizens were declared Knights of the Guardianship. Another was the vast realm the Gaians literally inherited, with over 527 Galaxies to guard over, they extended all manner of peaceful and prolific offerings to the countless civilizations and races in the Supercluster. Billions of Systems lay within the Supercluster, and by the time of the Second Revealing, the Ascendancy was both stronger, and far richer in all aspects than ever dreamed of. Prosperity was of such a height, and stability so prevalent, that the Gaians were seen as the true successors of the Ascendants, they of whom were busy in a conflict of vast size against the Dark Eternals, whom the Gaians would combat against very soon. The Gaians also would return and deal with the inital start of the war against the Sicily Treaty nations of Alcont, United Mankind, Sovereign Union, and Hania, on the side of The Humankind Abh. They also still had to content with the Zetan Dominion, and Hiei, as well as the darker mood of the universe they left.

This however was overshadowed as the Ascendancy was forced with it's greatest challenge ever, as the schemeing of the Dark Eternals with several of the enemies of the Ascendancy, forced the Ascendancy to attack the Dark Eternals first, despite facing odds at least in excess of 800 to 1. This was the start of what would known as the First Phase of the Dark Eternal War. This war only was less than a year, but the Ascendancy was fighting for it's very life from the moment the war started. Despite a preemptive attack that heavily damaged several Dark Eternal fleet yards and assets, as well as heavy raiding deep within enemy held territory, the Dark Eternals proved very resilient and determined, using all sorts of measures to hamper the Ascendancy. They even employed counter propoganda, and strange bio-chem warfare that made Ascendancy Gen-Refab units from working effectively. They even did this to their own troops in total spite against the Ascendancy.

By eight months into the war, several billion on both sides had died, and hundreds of billions more were were wounded or missing.Entire planets were laid waste, and the enemy had pushed the Ascendancy past the Inner-Rim Sectors into the Core Galaxies. A final push managed to break all the way through to the White Diamond System, before at the end, three miracles took place.

First, Aleaic had gone a good time before, to confront and save the Neo Zetan realm from Lord Hiei's clutches. In the process of a long duel, and Aleaic about to sacrifice himself to stop Hiei, his wives, and then the Zetan goddess Zohar appeared and put a stop to Hiei's attempt to destroy the entire Zetan Dominion Empire with his last breath. They all managed to disarm and remove thousands of solar trilithium mines from the numerous Zetan stars, and in doing so, Zohar herself sealed Hiei away, and the Dominion was returned from the utter darkness it was under. This allowed the Dominion to suddenly turn to the side of the Ascendancy, and their forces soon joined the battle. They dragged with them a Deatharon force that had been preying on Ascendancy forces, and turned them against the Dark Eternals.

At the same time, the Ancient Scelian race as encountered within the Voids of the Archonis Supercluster, and only one 'facet' of their vast forces agreed to enter the war. That single facet was a huge extra-dimensional force that entered our Mortal Plane and entered the war on the Ascendancy side as well.

However the last miracle was at the cusp of extinction, as Dark Eternal forces started attacking the capital system itself. The sight of countless Dark Eternal vessels assaulting them nearly broke Ascendancy morale, even the Ascendants own. However at the last moment, Aleaic returned to rally his people against this end, and assaulted one last time. Then at the darkest hour yet seen, the Eternals suddenly appeared, and brought their justice to the Dark Eternal counterparts. The other allies the Ascendancy gained were trained on the misguided slave forces and the combined forces at the end of one year of war, drive the enemy out of the Archonis Supercluster. But not before the Dark Eternals literally stripped entire worlds of Ascendancy populations to become enslaved under the enemy's rule. This ensured that the Ascendancy declared Jihad would never end, not until the Dark Eternals were destroyed. However for the moment, the Ascendancy took the chance to recover and rebuild where it could. They also turned a short time later, to a special event to celebrate their victory over the enemy.

As of now, the Ascendancy Royal Wedding is gearing up, and everyone in free space has been invited. There is also continuing plans to prepare for the Second Phase of the Ascendancy Jihad, and with it, a chance to break the Dark Eternal grip over the cosmos. Recently also, as of March 3276, the Sphere recognized that the independant worlds comprising the Guardianship, needed a format of goverance of it's own. The Council approved a measure from the Senatoria for the creation of the Confederacy Allied States, essentiall a semi-autonomous realm of civilization not of Gaian or Ascendant descent. The new Confederacy was allowed it's own governing standards, while still allocating the same standards of economy and resources as before. That measure of anti-imperialisim helped settled many nerves, fearing the Gaians would eventually turn truly imperial in nature.

However other worries and challenges came after that shadowed over everything the Guardianship stood for.

= The Third Age of the Ascendancy (3290 - Present)

At the end of 3290, on Christmas Day of all days, the Ascendancy was finally called upon by the Heavenly Powers themselves by the Accord that was signed about a century before. The Excellency knew that it was indeed time, and ALL activity in the mortal realm was suddenly ceased, and no communication of the sudden silence of the Ascendancy was ever given. No warning of any kind. The Ascendancy went dark, as it was literally folded into the light.

The mortal universe would not know of the exploits of the Sphere for fifteen further years, as the Ascendancy became embroilled, by their Accordance and quasi-ascended state in concert, in the single most immolating war of them all.

The Eternal War.

Heaven verses Hell. There was no falsehood here, and the Gaians found themselves among a host of new and elder mortal nations from across all of the Existence, from many universal realities, in numbers desperately uncountable, all to help bolster the Heavenly forces of the Intracel High Command and Order, against a joint invasion from the Infernal forces, a mismash alliance of Demon and Devil forces in impossible numbers. The scale of this epic war was beyond all scope, and the Gaians knew it immediately. It was the one and only time the populace actually questioned the sanity of the Lord Excellency.

The fears were founded, but the power of the light was soon to overlight these fears, as the war became more clear in scope. They knew of the existence the Ascendant belonged, and also that of many other Elder Civilizations. Many named familiar in annal, and others with names beyond their home universe and Dimension.

The Gaians gained the power of the Heavens in their growing ability to help combat the vast scale of the war. Entire galaxies and even universes within the Infernal and Intracella dimensions became vast battlegrounds, where billions fought at a constant rate. These billions were in massive armies and star fleets, units all their own, with further billions in seperate units involved elsewhere. Casualties were atrocious, but the discovery that ressurection by both sides was commonplace, made for both a miracle, and a horror to witness, as hordes and hosts on both sides ravaged each other, recovered, and redeployed elsewhere to do the same again, in manner that justified the name of the war itself.

It did not take long for the Gaians to accept and evolve themselves into the conflict, even having plenty of time despite to enjoy the miracles of their master realm. They found the holy fury to surpass all they knew before, to conduct their own campaigns over time. At first small campaigns over a few celestial systems, then growing into galactic campaigns. Eventually the Gaians grew to fight along side immense offensives and defensive lines the Heavenly forces commanded. Trillions upon trillions of Angelics commanded entire defensive lines that ran well over twenty lines deep, across the Heavenly Realms.

Then at the Battle of Oraccallia, ten years after the Gaians arrived of the Accordance, the Gaians took a suprise place in the Heavenly Archives all their own, when Aleaic and his Council orchestrated a massive slash offensive through an Infernal offensive line as it overextended another offensive of it's own. The celestial blitzkreig was so surpising to all sides, that the Gaians grabed the initiative further by leading a two celestial week assault that broke through six seperate Infernal lines. Tne Infernals, trying to counter this, was assailed by Heavenly assaults on other parts of the line, breaking through in many places, eventually causing the Infernals into a purely defensive state. The gains of hundreds of millions of planets taken by the Infernals by this time, was erased by seventy-eight percent. Worse, the Infernals lost another seventeen percent of their own worlds, and were in a position to lose more, and even have the Infernal Realm itself open to deeper strikes.

As a result, the Infernals soon sued for a cease-fire treaty. There was no concept of true surrender here, and the Angelics and Allies greeted the ironclad agreement wholesale. Ten years of war at this scale, had exhausted everyone involved, and the Treaty of Surona ended the first chapter in the Ascendancy experience with the celestial powers. However this all made them a target for a future conflict, and the Gaians were no fools what this meant. The Infernals would want vengance.

At all costs.

The Gaians had only five years to recover, which was easy in of itself due to the VAST resources that the Heavens commanded. They learned many new secrets and miracles of technology and celestial power. This all would be needed, as the Heavens learned where the Infernals intended to strike next. The Gaian presumptions were right, and their home universe was the target. All of it at once.

As a consequence, the Gaians were forced to deploy as much Sphere, Allied, and Angelic forces they could muster on very short notice. Even with millions of vessels to call upon, the Infernals were expected to come with many times more that amount. The Infernals were determined to make the mortal D-3 Dimension suffer, as if a sibiling of a foe was to pay along side the combatant. The Infernals after a few days, were revealed to be creating a utterly massive cross dimensional portal, from the Infernal Genesis Barrier, to the Universal Genesis Barrier the Gaians deployed to. The Battle of the Barrier would become much more than this however.

The bloodname system was established in the Gaian Ascendancy early on, knowing that a limited cloning system was needed to expand the population, and allow the Ascendancy to grow into the power that the Excellency envisioned. When the Angel Gods were introduced, their names were not added to the inital list, for worry of the Accord with the Heavens. As the Ascendancy grew however, the names was expanded by adding the Rara name to the list, and the Angel Gods had names added as well.

It was about a year before the arrival of the Snow Ravens, that the Council agreed that the addition of a new Clan Tourman, would require new names of their own to expand such upon. This was decided not only for manpower reasons, but for a sense of lineage that binds the Clan together, as well as adding a sense of tradition. But the arrival of the Snow Ravens and their subsuquent Absorption into the Ascendancy, added the Raven (now Eagle) bloodname houses into the Ascendancy list. A month later, the White Tiger Clan was activated, with thirteen names to the list, added with the twelve from Snow Eagle and thirteen from Angel galaxy itself. This makes a total of forty-six warrior bloodnames the Ascendancy calls it's own.

Any person, though usually warrior, can gain a Bloodname with acts that benefit the Ascendacy, whether in battle or by peaceful measures. Warriors from the Eagles however use the Trial of Bloodright for it's warriors as only twenty-five Eagle warriors can hold a single bloodname house at a time. This eventually will be expanded as the Eagles grow, but for now, they hold to their several hundreds of years old traditions. Indications are that the White Tigers will adopt a hybid of the two systems to give their names slightly more meaning.

Every one of them will eventually give a diversity to the Ascendancy that individual Clans such as those the Ravens came from, never could dream of.

The Ascendancy, after the events of the GE and Neo Zetan sponsored invasion, in attempt to destroy the Ascendancy for it's interference in trying to stop another war the GE had conducted, the Lord Excellency used his vast powers to literally move his entire realm in one fell swoop. Entire star systems and even whole galaxies with celestial bodies within, were relocated enmass into an area of deep space that the Ascendants had heavy influence in.

As a result, and to this day, the Ascendancy Sphere controls a vast swath of territory, in concert with it's Confederacy Allied States, numbering well past five hundred galaxies, of all shapes and sizes. This gave the Republic resources unmatched by any other power, as well as currently a strong base to conduct the Eternal War. Despite a Dark Eternal invasion that nearly destroyed the Ascendancy some fifteen years later, the Ascendancy still retains empowered control over all of the Archonis Supercluster.
