There are few written records in existence that shed light on what are known as "The Dog Days" of Gato Diablo's history. Writers were scarce. The residents of this island nation tended to be either farmers working their craft on the rich, bountiful earth, or the warlords who had settled there from a variety of resource-poor islands. They amused themselves by fighting among themselves when they weren't busy raiding the silos and storehouses of the farming communities. So it is that no one can say with certainty when Alexandria with her ship full of the fiercest felines from Africa and Asia landed on the shores of Gato Diablo. And no one knows how many female warriors were part of the deadly cargo. Or where they first contacted the farmers and, later, miners who would band together to commence on a stealth campaign to attack and destroy each and every one of the warlords' encampments.

A makeshift army of amazons, farmers, miners, and now-you-see-them-now-you-don't big cats made their way through endless fields of golden wheat and lush jungles for months or years, depending on who's telling the fantastic story. They would appear seemingly out of nowhere, encountering a raiding party here, a heavily armed fortress there. The results ere always the same. Utter devestation. No warlord or minion thereof left alive.

And no one knows when the legendary Alexandria and most of her party left Gato Diablo for the last time, leaving behind a legacy of Kicking Ass, Taking Names, and Not Taking Any Shit in their wake. A handful of discontented farmers and miners had evolved into an organized mass that was to be a nation, Gato Diablo, that would never relinquish control of their lives, property, or destiny to any outsiders. Ever.
