Founding
When the Latin Empire was formed in Italia it faced many problems. The Largest of all of those was religion. Jews, Pagans and the new Christians all inhabited the area, after they worked together to topple Rome. After many internal wars and disputes they had all managed to form a Latin Empire. However the Pagan Rulers angered the Jewish and Christian Populace. They outlawed their religions, refused to allow them to vote, hold office or own land. They did however get drafted into the Military, the worst possible choice for an Emperor to give to the Oppressed people. When the years dragged on more and more Christians became trained and educated. By 112 A.D. the Christians and Jews were so angered they pretended to fight eachother. This drew the Pagan Army out from Rome. A large Army then moved swiftly and conquered the city.
Once Rome fell the two armies that were pretending to be slaughtering eachother turned and charged into the Pagan lines. After hours of fierce battle the Pagans began to make a retreat. They were unaware Rome had fallen, they entered the gates, once shut they were slaughtered like animals. Shortly after, Ruben I, was name the King of Golencia. He used his power to expel Pagans from Italy all together, his empire stretched as large as the old Roman one, Jeruselem and Rome were his capitals. Later he imposed all laws to be the same as what the Papacy wanted. Using his power he made sure Catholicism reigned supreme. He did not persecute the Jews, but in fact gave them the same rights as catholics.
The First Dynasty(Chinese)
The First Dynasty, the Ming Dynasty, lasted for centuries. It was the time of conquest and oversaw the Golencian land expansions. It wasn't long before the leaders of the Chinese Dynasty saw an importance in unifing the world, they did not care for other nations at the time. In fact later leaders felt superior in every which way. Foriegn Diplomats requesting aid or demanding anything were killed and sent back to their nation of origin. It was a time where the Catholic Church was considered the only thing mightier than the King Himself. Massive executions were held for those whom may conspire against the king or stole from Royal Buildings.
Western Golencia also known as Sino-Golen was once the dominate area of what is now Golencia. It was formed into an all powerful Chinese Empire. When it was first formed it was under the control of a great warrior known as Ch'in. Although there were many rulers of the tribe where Ch'in was born none managed to get more than several hundred acres of farmland, or developed beyond raiding. Ch'in however managed to build a strong empire and Control much of Western Golencia. Under his command the Land under his control more than quadrupled. However before reaching the Sea of Razgriz, Ch'in was murdered in his sleep, many believe it was by his own son and the new leader, Puyi.
When Puyi took control he did little to expand, but saw the importance of controlling the sea. For the first time a Navy was built for the Sino Empire. Although at the time the only opponets where fishing boats, Puyi believed more competition would come, and it did. However that was after Puyi's time. During Puyi, the Navy was used for the first Amphibious assault. Defeat was still unknown to Puyi's People. At age 63 he died of Natural Causes and with no heir his nephew, Xao Ming took control.
Under Xao Ming many of the tribes inside of Western and Central Golencia fell more than doubling the size of the Empire. The Navy was cast aside and old ships were kept in service. Xao didn't care for the sea, he served on a vessel and fought in the Xingua Landing, he decided that there would be no real opponets to Ming Authority. This proved to be a grave mistake as once he had finally neared the Sea of Razgriz a new enemy struck. Xingua was the target of German Landing. Using superior weapons and vessels they destroyed the Garrison in Xingua and annhilated the Ming Navy. Now Xao turned all attention to the new threat, having tasted a new flavor. The Flavor of Defeat. While marching an army of 200,000 to combat the 50,000 German force, Xao died from Malaria, and the mighty Army slowly shrank until only 25,000 men with swords fought the Musketeers of Germany.
German Invasion and German Dynasty
The Germans continued their advance against the Ming Empire and undertook harsh punishments for those that fell behind. Either they were used for Slave labor or were slaughtered where they stood. The Germans had a strong distaste for the meager opponets and saw them with no respect. Germans that were native to Golencia on the Eastern Tip, also began a strong push, however they fought the Spanish populace, which created a huge gap between the two German parties. The Hohenzollerns from the North and the Vieth from the East fought hard against the two Spanish Monarchies.
However the Taoist Chinese now saw defeat by both the Germans and the Spanish, Catholic Nations seeking the destruction of the Taoist people. Even with the mutual hatred of the Chinese, the Germans and Spanish were at war for more than 42 Years. Felipe II of the Aragon family led his Spanish faction for all 42 years. Under him the Vieths in the East were kept at bay and with the help of the Bourbons, the Hohenzollerns were forced to halt. The Ming Dynasty had all but collapsed in this turmoil. It's once great Empire completely obliterated, never reaching the Razgriz Sea.
Eventually an unsteady Alliance was signed, the Ming Empire was divided and the borders of their respective Empires were drawn. The Spaniards signed their alliance and the Germans signed another. It wasn't until the wedding of Erika Vieth and Thomas Hohenzollern that the two German Factions finally became one. The First son of the newly formed family, Georg Hohenzollern used his position to wage war once again on the Spanish Families. This time they faced Ming Uprisings all over their Western Empire. The Taoists had mostly been forced to Catholicism but still they had the idea of a national Unity.
Using this to their advantage the Spanish launched a daring campaign and their two Families managed to obtain full surrenders of the Spanish Families. Shortly thereafter the United German Family managed to quell all Chinese resistance and dedicated it's full force to combating the Spanish. Despite having the strongest Navy the Germans were unable to use it to their advantage as the Razgriz Canal had still not been constructed and all of the Spanish coast was within the Razgriz Sea. The Land battles were still fierce and saw much bloodshed of both Civilians and Soldiers as entire villages were erased from the Maps of the World, their people sitting in mass Graves with no respectful tombstones. The Devilish Tactics used by the Hohenzollern-Vieth Family eventually forced a Spanish Surrender and German Dominance over the nation.
For the remainder of the German Dynasty there were numerous incursions against the Ming and harsh suppressions of Latin Rallies. The Kaisers during the German Dynasty also saw their mighty Militaries expand across the Modern day borders of Golencia however they were not finely atuned to Desert Warfare and constantly their All-German Military returned with Humiliating defeats that both the Sino and Latin Golencians were more than able to fight and often attained victory in the same conditions.
Latin Revolutionary War
It didn't take long for the Latinos of the Empire to take a page from the Sino book and begin to rise up against thier harsh German Oppressors. The Latinos had long since been training Militiamen, some of which better trained then the Regular Army. One of the Aragon Family members, one Jorge Aragon worked with Daniel Borbon to rally the soldiers for their revolution. Both were determined that it could not fail and were certain that with the Guerilla Tactics and skills in Desert Warfare they could easily dominate the German Military in any battle. At the time the Golencian National Military stood at 12,000,000 Active Duty soldiers, mostly battle hardened Veterans and the Militia force barely stood at 250,000 Men and Women.
The First battle came with victory for the Latinos when they ambushed a Military Convoy killing 200 and capturing 121 with some of the Finest Military Supplies including Anti-Tank Stingers. The Next engagement was another Ambush and it resulted in the loss of an Entire Armor battalion numbering at 21 Tanks and 1,000 Infantryment. It was followed with a string of victories that humiliated the Kaiser and the Heer. [UNDER CONSTRUCTION]
