Grishnaki

Grishnaki

A race of reptilian aliens originating on Ghargonia Prime, some 50,000 lightyears away from Sol.

Unlike the other two sentient species which called this planet home, Grishnaki were relatively peaceful reptiles, with a very high degree of intelligence. Unfortunately, they lacked the same strength and ability to destroy, and the Ghargonians almost destroyed them.

Recently, Ghargonians have found evidence to suggest that the Grishnaki were actually in space long before Ghargonians even entered an industrial age. Grishnaki technology on other worlds suggests that the race simply left Ghargonia Prime and took to the stars.

Grishnaki are, on average, 5-6 feet high. They possess only three-quarters of the strength of the strongest human, though their senses are more finely tuned. They were originally carnivores, but have developed into omnivores since leaving Ghargonia Prime. Despite being reptiles, they had a rudimentary self-regulating temperature system similar to that of a mammal, meaning they could actually survive in environments colder than freezing point, unlike Ghargonians or Gerash.
