Heliotopia

Found almost 50 years ago, Heliotopia is the ancient extraterrestrial home of the people of Polok and is presently the site of a Polokian space colony. The quest for Heliotopia began after the discovery of ancient ruins, which linked Polokian ancestry to a distant planet. Usually this would be dismissed by the scientific community as mere fairy tails, but the Polokian's anatomy is slightly different to that of the average human. The most noticeable difference is the eyes, which appear cat-like; this mystery had gone unexplained by scientists for centuries, so the Heliotopia discovery was met with great enthusiasm. This discovery helped fuel the Polokian space program, which eventually saw the construction of faster-than-light ships to seek out potential colony sites. These ships were also used to discover if the Heliotopia legend was true.
When Heliotopia was discovered a team of men and women from 4 countries in The Imperium of Might (Polok, Valmar, Red Islands and Pisylvania) was sent to investigate. After much tragedy (including death, deceit and even possession) the mystery of Heliotopia was solved and the lifeforce (the ancient energy force of Polok and Heliotopia) was freed. The ancient inhabitants of Heliotopia (suspeneded in life-sustainment pods) gave their lives up, once freed, to liberate the lifeforce and save the people of the Imperium from the wrath of the bloodforce, an evil force responsible for the destruction of Heliotopian civilisation, that had been sealed in the chambers that the team quested in.
