The Theocracy of Holy Sheep is a non-denominational democracy, who only holds onto the name "Theocracy" for historic reasons. The Theocracy of Holy Sheep is a massive, safe nation, remarkable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed population of 1.8 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often. The Autonomous Holy District is a self-governing portion of the Theocracy that opposed the shift to democracy, and thus seperated to avoid conflict.
The Head of State is The Devine Emperor, currently the Devine Emperor Nikolai Paladin. The army is comprised of 18 Legions [each lead by an Archon], each of a hundred thousand men. Only eight Legions are ever active at once, unless it is in a time of war. The army is divided into two wings - Army and Navy, although each one is present in each Legion.
The standard Legion is divided into a hundred Companies of a thousand, lead by a Strategos, and each Company is divided into twenty Divisions of fifty, each lead by a Knight of the Fleece, or a Sailor of the Fleece, depending on whether it is an army or navy Company. Each Division contains one Champlain and four medics.
Most Legions are comprised of:
- 50 Infantry Companies
- 20 Cavalry Companies
- 20 Navy Companies
- 5 Irregular forces
- 5 Air Companies (Each Air division only can support 5 aeroplanes)
Each Infantry Company contains:
- 10 Light Infantry Divisions
- 5 Heavy Infantry Divisions (Heavier equipment, as well as tanks)
- 2 Vehicle Divisions
- 3 Special Ops Divisions
Each Cavalry Company consists of :
- 10 Dragoon Divisions
- 5 Lancer Divisions
- 5 Non-combat divisions for the care and feed of extra mounts, ect.
