Nationstates Description
The Empire of Hrydonia is a huge, safe nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, cynical population of 210 million are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings." The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Religion & Spirituality, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 21%, but much higher for the wealthy. A healthy private sector is led by the Pizza Delivery industry, followed by Information Technology and Soda Sales. Strict term limits have been applied to all elected offices, history classes are mandatory for students, all news sources are under strict government control, and the nation is ravaged by daily union strikes. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force. Hrydonia's national animal, the hyperactive teenager, frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Government
The Empire of Hrydonia is currently a dictatorship, with supreme power exercised by the current Emperor. A weak Parliament does exist, but is usually ignored by the Emperor, therefore also ignored by most of the executive branch. The current prime minister is also little more than a crony and puppet of the Emperor.
Military
The four branches of the Hrydonian military fall under the jurisdiction of the Imperial War Ministry. The Imperial Armed Forces are organized similarly to most militaries the world over, in the form of an Army, Navy, Air Force, and Imperial Marine Corps.
The Imperial Army, at last count, had a total strength of 1,050,000.
The Imperial Air Force had 1,050,000 members as well, with the
Imperial Navy and Imperial Marine Corps having a reported strength of 525,000 men and women each.
Foreign Relations Hrydonia tends to stay isolationist regarding the world at large, and indeed does not have any formal relations with any country.
