The International Dodgeball League was initially conceived by Druida as a sixteen-team tournament run similarly to the World Cup, with a group phase followed by a straight knockout competition.

The tournament ran into problems during the group stage, Druidan organisers later claiming they were 'just too drunk to act as hosts'. During the long delays this caused, the Progressan team became stateless as the civil war in this nation caused the country to cease to exist. The tournament was never completed.

Ironically, it is the Progressans who have now revived the competition. The tournament will now operate as an ongoing league, initially one league of eight with additional divisions to be added if necessary.
